If Whitney keeps up the level of play that he's been at lately, and St. Louis actually is interested in him, then MAYBE you get Stewart for Whitney+++. And I still have no idea why St. Louis would ever consider a trade involving Stewart with Ryan Whitney as the main piece coming back.. - SteveTambellini
Your call Stevie. I'll send you a canoli if you make it happen. |

I think I'll just sit here twiddling my thumbs and watching Oiler fans squirm instead.. but I'll keep your offer in mind. |

anybody going back on top of whitney will be prospects or draft picks. blues won't be taking on much salary since it's emphasized they need to focus on resigning their restricted agents. |

Chris Stewart is a top 6 power forward. He has 21 points in 25 games this year. Regardless of where he ends up (if they really are looking to trade him, that is) they will be able to get a hell of a lot more for him than Ryan Whitney and some prospects or draft picks. |

Trade makes zero sense for the Oilers. Elliott has a 3.65 GAA and .851% SP this year and is still signed for next season. He's not even good enough to be a backup. No thanks. |

I just meant that Khabibulin for a 3rd or 4th round pick with no Elliott involved is a trade that does make sense for the Oilers, assuming they aren't still in playoff contention come deadline day.
Maybe at the deadline or the draft St. Louis will be able to find someone willing to take a chance on Elliott next year at $1.9 million for a small price. If not, I suspect he hits waivers. If he clears then he gets bought out. |

Thats exactly it. Think of clout's as an entertainer, like a clown or a court jester or like a chris farley or a john candy and he suddenly doesn't seem like such a bad guy. - ruttager17
I'm not sure Clouts would actually agree that he isn't the most knowledgeable oilers fan here. I'm not sure what's an act or not, but he does seem to consider himself more in the know about all things oilers than anyone else... |

You guys have time for Drew Stafford?
For whatever it's worth Gregor is talking about a report coming out that he's open to a trade - team ties and all...hmmm, perhaps he could get going in E-town. - Salvo
Does Hemsky for Stafford make sense? |

Not sure. I'd have to think it's Stafford + for Hemmer no?
who cares. I hate this. all I fukkin care about is the Oilers actually showing some nut-sweat tonight against the Abominable Snow twats.
EDIT: Hemsky is having a better year right now so maybe that garners a pick but really it seems player for player would be fair. |
