Having a lot of centers is not a problem. It's an asset.
- Pecafan Fan

I agree. ( also about DD\s contract that can be traded)

I'm just really curious to see if the organisation will really keep the actual centers that we have.

OK but those were the TWO BEST teams in the East.. if we had a winless streak of 4 against the Habs, Sens, Isles, & Florida.. then I would be worried... not that time yet..
- DoctorNHL

The Habs are in the same category as the Panthers and Isles.

You're right Marty, this guy is gold! Gold I tell ya!!

DD is French and won't be traded anytime soon. They do need a couple French guys.

Eller and Chuckie aren't small. Trade Plek?
- AGalchenyuk27

Can't really say they play big.

Dont get me wrong, I love Chukie and Eller...

We just can't say we are tough down the middle

I love his progression.

"experts on RBS" label him as a 3rd line center... I think he might become "Plek" like down the road.

Reliable 2 way center that can put up decent points and shut down other lines.

more the term than $ but I thought lower for sure but what do I know.
- AGalchenyuk27

The 3.5M$ doesn't bother me either...it's the 4 years...you really want him as your "#1/#2" center for 4 (frank)ing more years ?

If he can manage 60 pts per season or thereabout, then it works out. But that's a big if.

just saying for marketing etc. Hudon will be popular too if he makes it. Did u see 24CH, during lockout they played in province and fans went nuts over DD. I think they chased him down the street and were chanting his name or something. Ask QP he was likely there with nay.

k, then he is at his peak and will start to decline. Even $3.5M for 50-60 points is fine. Ask the leafs.

You keep him a couple years, if Galchenyuk is ready to take over the 1st line center at that point, you can move DD, he would be 30yrs old and under contract for 2 more years. We know DD will keep producing at 50-60pts/season.
