It had something to do with a change in safety standards effective Jan 2012. Even a car seat made Dec. 31/11 was not eligible.

That's (frank)ed. Most of the car seats made prior met the safety standards. Oh well, I sold mine.

The only reason you would want to do a garage sale is for the kids.

I used to enjoy sitting out there all day trying to sell stuff.

I'm not a cheap person in general...so like Dan said...it really annoys me when some Menno, straight off the wagon is haggling me over a 1 dollar toaster.

I did but they don't pick iy up and it's a couple inch too big to fit in my car.

Also, there was a break-in at my house a few days after someone had come to view other stuff...but I'm not 100% it was kijjijji related as this was also when I was selling the house, so lots of traffic...(agent, prospective buyers, etc...)

But they knew what they were after...only took a laptop, and some paintings...didn't even take the 46" TV... WTF?!?

last summer I had this office char I didn't want anymore so I rolled it out and threw in two busted CD shelves.

5 minutes later I saw to foreigners arguing over the busted shelves. the chair lasted a few hours before someone grabbed it.

Who cares? It's for the fun of it. Plus the one and only time I did have a garage sale, I made close to 300$ !

AND THE GARAGE WAS CLEAN AFTERWARDS.

Well... for a year or two.

they also stole a 6x6 painting (feet...not inches)...so clearly they weren't worried about being seen...they were after "VALUE"...joke's on them the painting (although very nice) was not worth much...it was one of my ex-wife's creation (that, along with misery)...
