not really. I like him a lot still, but unless he he can play centre and win draws it's better for him to play 20 min in the AHL then 7-10 min in the NHL.
- IanEsplen

No it's not better to send him down. He was our top scorer in the first 7 games and AV rewards him by bumping him to the 4 th line. He has made some good passes and good checks . It is time to play him more and surround him with talent. How many other teams pulls the Sh!t that AV does. This mgmt is retarded

It's funny people actually comment in the comment section on tsn. It's such a bad layout and most of the people there are morons.

sent you a trade proposal, let me know what you think.

edit - ah, I see you've responded, I agreed, begrudgingly

Wouldn't be much of a problem if they replaced one of the lefties with a top 5 righty, that' the biggest issue IMO. Even more hilarious is that both of the depth signings, Barker/Vandermeer are also both lefties just like Alberts as well.
- Nucker101

And where do you get one of these top RHD

The only RHD I hear any talk about moving is Komi. You would need to trade something pretty big and I know you don't bekieve we would be trading a core piece.

No wonder we are considered the worst fans in the league ! Ugh
I mean come on ! We don't have kesler no bieska etc.. Missing salo for sure.but didn't the Canucks lose eight straight or more during the cup run season ? Give it a break. Firing AV will not change what the Canucks have to play with. This lyes with mg so just relax and take breath. Geez talk about overreacting we have goaltending good d just need 3rd line center which I think mg will acquire . So chill

They lost 3 in a row, in November, the Penguins, Hawks (7-1) and Coyotes. This was when the $hit hit the fan and they went on a tear after this. There was a stretch in February where it was win one lose one, but I bet you would have to go back pretty far to find an 8 game losing streak.

I look at the overall picture. We have been declining since the big game in Boston .This team has a lot of problems that the goaltending hid under the carpet . I have no problem about a fellow fan debating whether we are in need of changes or we are fine. What drives me crazy is these fukken clowns that start off a statement "No wonder every one eles hates this fan base. It is like this bumhole thinks he is better than all of us . I am above all of you and you are embarassing me. Realy then '(frank) off and go hang with your Mensa pals."

Don't you think Perry will likely be traded if Anaheim feels that they won't be able to sign him? After the Suter and Parise deals, I'm guessing he'll likely want to test the FA market, and it's a no brainer that he'll be getting a max contract where ever he ends up.
- MnGump

Anaheim is trying to win the Stanley Cup this year, they can't trade him, that would basically be giving up. Maybe they could pull off a sign and trade. That extra year they can give him might make it worth it for Perry to play ball.

I guess now is the time for Gilles to pull the trigger on the Lu trade that is on the table Douche bag.
Lefty and DCT, what do you think of the Harvin trade? Great addition if he can stay healthy IMO.

I am a vikings Fan and have watched his whole career. Seattle just got an amazing talent. He has an inflated ego like TO but if healthy a difference maker. I would have thought he would have gotten more in trade but he wants a huge contract so that is why he is only worth a late first and 2 later picks package.

Amazing addition. I wanted Tavon Austin @ 25, and this is even better. Nervous about the contract he's seeking... 100% confident in Schneider's ability to structure/negotiate though. Overall, I'm pumped beyond belief & can't wait to see which DE/DT's we pursue in FA & the draft now.

Rams are gonna take Austin with one of their picks. I've been hearing the Texans are trying to move up and get him. Great move providing Harvin is 100%, if not they just tossed away a couple picks

Yeah I know, I was only adding in to your reply, he suggested that the team that was within one game of winning the cup had a along losing streak, which isn't true.

Good blog today Ian though I extremely disagree with the Hire Lindy. Who I don't know but after his tenure with Buffalo I think he should have a break and re-evaluate what it takes to get bak to being successful and form a new game plan.

Yeah, I have three days this week wherei will have three players on the bench with two spots open on RW, I understand, in this case I'm Gillis and you're every other GM.

Tough to give up Staal, but I got Tlusty and O'Reilly at C for free so Hossa is a nice consolation.

I honestly don't think it was all that much to give up... He's only 24yrs old & FAR better than any offensive skill player in this draft (I only have one with a 1st round grade and that's Austin - including all WRs QBs and RBs). The 7th Rounder is worthless... and the mid rounder for next year is no big deal because there are very few roster spots up for grabs on this team as it is.

By the way Lefty... Remember when I told you Wilson would beat out Flynn for the starting job straight away? I think you owe me some props...

As for the Nucks, I don't think (I know) we can compete if they go into the playoffs with the roster the way it is. That said, we could trade players for top six and a third line center if Gillis is willing to go all in. That's the 64 million dollar question!
