John's Roast Pork...Great Cheesesteaks
- Jimmygrazz

This.

You have to hit up John's during the day and even then, you're likely gonna wait, but it's worth it. They don't really cater to the tourist crowd you get at Pat's and Geno's at all hours.

You can blame Primeau and Recchi directly.

That's what I love about you. Man can admit he was wrong, apologize and really make an effort to right a wrong and you'll still hold it over his head until the day he dies.

I agree today's music largely sucks. There's a few new bands I like, but they're not getting the airplay that bands used to get back in the day.

Now, if Robert Plant's not jerking us around and is serious about not having plans for summer 2014....

- Jsaquella

I agree with your first sentence. I grew up in the 90s/00's, and "radio" music stopped being good after 1995.
Led Zeppelin is, to me, the most overrated band ever.

Interesting...could be that they played 3 really good teams in the games he's been out...

What if he's just as good at a third or even half the cap hit?
- mayorofangrytown

Not if the move is done in isolation as the "fix" to the problems. Ihmo, goaltending is way down on the list of things that need fixing.

John's is great. I've only had them a few times, but Holy Moly that's a great steak.

Jim's is good, not as good as it used to be, though. Last time I was in Philly, or near a steak place, was the LebowskiFest last September at the TLA.

The line for Jim's was out the door and around the corner, so we ended up going to Steaks on South, near 8th st. That was a pretty good steak. My wife even ate all of her's and that happens as often as OB18 bathes.

Flyers a much easier team to play against when teams make it a point to not get sucked into Rinaldo's world

Always will love Zeppelin, but my favorite bands are Pearl Jam and Van Halen.

I'm thinking hard about going to the AC beer festival, but not to drink. The Reverend Horton Heat is playing, and that is a fantastic live band

Primeau did. He admitted it was wrong and apologized to Barber for what he said and then tried to change from a self absorbed jerk into a guy who did what the team asked.

It's also helped full the coach decides to sit him for the second period after he has a two point first period and draws a penalty.

Last night he got Ref'd, though.

Nope. I knew he was on, but didn't have time to listen.

I'm sure that they'll throw it up on either the O&A site or that Van Halen NewsDesk will post it.

I don't feel he's made adjustments, or I should say I don't feel he's made effective adjustments.

He was fired in Carolina after a similar inability to get a team that lacked the pieces to play his system failed to perform.

The problem with your argument is that Holmgren has tried to get the players to play Laviolette's system. He offered $200mm in contracts to Shea Weber and Ryan Suter. He's been scouting every team in the league like mad. Do you really think if there was a good deal, or even a fair deal out there, that he'd stand pat?

Coaches need to adjust their system to what is on the roster. They need to instill discipline and hold players accountable. So far Laviolette hasn't done that very well.

- Jsaquella

OK, so there isn't a quick fix for the team. I'm not suggesting Holmgren can fix it today. What I am saying is that they had a system that was working pretty well. They had an uptempo offensive team. They made up for some of their defensive weaknesses by scoring a lot of goals. Shea Weber or Ryan Suter would have been a great addition, but he didn't get them. What he did do was let some very good offense and added players ill suited for the system that the coach runs. Now he's got a team that can't make up for it's defensive lapse with offense.

I was a fan of the first 2 Pearl Jam albums. Not a fan of what soft/sappy/slow/boring stuff they've put out since, starting with yield. It was pretty cool when Eddit Vedder sang Comfortably Numb though.

Van Halen was just before my time, but I can get behind them.

Led Zeppelin's good, and anyone who says otherwise is a liar, or a Scottsman. But I just don't think they're as great as they're hailed to be. They've had just as much influence on music as The Ramones, and I can't stand people who call them heavy metal. Like I said, good, but not the best ever.

Those NFC West teams mean business. The Seahawks acquired Percy Harvin earlier.
