Trust me were not. He compared Drew Doughty to Luke Schenn. It was done then.

Neither Doughty or Voynov are better than Gervais. End of debate!

Are you saying that Doughty isn't a puck mover? Doughty is one of the top puck moving defenseman in the entire NHL. And is a much better player then Subban is. The comparison to Luke Schenn couldn't be more off base for Doughty. Doughty is more along the lines a comparable to Nik Lidstrom. Did you watch the NHL playoffs last year?
- MJL

Idk.. I like doughty but I don't think he's a top puck mover. I agree he a top dman. Above average in many areas. VeRy good all around dman that can dominate at times but when I don't consider him absolute top echelon in league. I'd say just below but still very nice to have. I watch alot of hockey around the league and players like subban, oel, karlsson, pietreangelo, just take games over at times. And do it often... I don't really see that with doughty. I personally do see it in voynov.

I keep waiting for Slash's next supergroup
- Jsaquella

When I was out running errands tonight I listened to the Rhapsody playlist that mimics K-Tel Records' Hit Express - the first cassette I ever received (first album in any format) in 1981. Its songs were:

Side One:
Don't You Want Me - Human League
Do You Believe In Love - Huey Lewis & The News
(Oh) Pretty Woman - Van Halen
Did It In A Minute - Hall & Oates
Don't Stop Believin' - Journey
Urgent - Foreigner
In the Air Tonight - Phil Collins

Side Two:
Spirits In the Material World - The Police
Love Is Alright Tonite - Rick Springfield
Tonight I'm Yours (Don't Hurt Me) - Rod Stewart
Hold On Tight - Electric Light Orchestra
Abacab - Genesis
Working for the Weekend - Loverboy
I Love Rock 'N Roll - Joan Jett & The Blackhearts

I still love synthpop (Human League), Huey Lewis, VH, Journey, Foreigner, PC/Genesis, The Police and ELO. It's amazing how many bands from that tape I still listen to - or spurred me on to love similar stuff.

I really liked Velvet Revolver, as a big STP fan. Funny thing is, I liked STP's first album, loved their second, and then the next three were just "pretty good." I thought the reunion album was really good, too, but they needed to rock out a bit more. Weiland's stuff with VR was better in that regard - especially their first album.

Whew.

My dad bought their first record (he used to be an "oldies DJ" when "oldies" meant 1950's & 1960's music) and got me into many groups I'm into today: The Four Seasons, The Five Satins, The Beatles (though he hated them and loved them at the same time), and Led Zeppelin. I remember when he brought home a new copy of the Led Zeppelin IV record (to replace his first worn-out copy) sometime in the mid-80's. He let me borrow it and I played it on my player.

Mind. Blown. I started collecting their stuff on both LP (to listen in my room) and cassette (to listen on my walkman as I delivered newspapers).

I'm only 25, but to me the 50s and 60s are the oldies. Best era of music ever. After i heard the battle of evermore i was hooked on Zeppelin. Have been ever since

Voynov is not better in any way then Doughty is. Doughty is a franchise defenseman that is Norris Trophy caliber. Voynov is not. Good young player and a solid defenseman. But not on the level of Doughty.

Doughty is one of the top puck moving defenseman in the entire NHL. Voynov is not.

Voynov has out played doughty this year. His 1st full year. He's only going to get better. Fact. Doughty has been in league how long? Now project voynov in same amount of time. Time will tell

There's some pretty decent record players out for relatively cheap. The hard part is finding all the albums.

We have LPs at home. My grandpop collects a lot and there's some solid record exchanges out near us. It could happen. It's my goal in life

It's just...retro I guess. I just like records. To me, being young, it's the way it "should be" when I listen to the music I listen to.

What I'd give to throw a Come Together/Something Double A side single on a record player

.....I Can't Quit You Babe, Dazed And Confused, Babe I'm Gonna Leave You are 3 of my top 5 Led Zeppelin songs, I think. My favorite from them is Ten Years gone of Physical Graffiti.

I get enough sound from my digital collection...It's a warm enough sound-and there's plenty of torrents that are vinyl rips
