The additions we need to make have to be done via trade. Even if we were to get the players that would help us as free agents, what would the cost be? Overpaying guys for the next 5-6 years isn't going to help us.

He's got so much talent. I hate reading Clouts talk about him only ever being a 3rd line winger. He's big fast and has the drive to learn. 23 year old MPS is probably our 2nd line LW and a very good one at that.

Shorter contract yes. Though he's dipping, great guy to have regain his form as an Oiler. Some risk is worth it there. We'd probably have to overpay unless he's feeling like J-Shultz.
