He'd suck, too....we need a DEFENSIVE COACH. You know, someone who understands that in the first period in a building like....say, Pittsburgh, for example...the first thing you want to do is put the crowd to sleep, by dumping the puck down the ice, clogging the neutral zone, and clearing the front of your own net. As I said before, the officiating was cr*p....way worse cr*p than we faced against the rag$...but you still have to play defense. The TEAM pis*ed me off far more in period two than period one. After we scored, we should have been patient, and waited for an opportunity, instead of getting caught up ice repeatedly. That's coaching, and the lack of punishment for stupidity, which is rampant with this coach.

Atleast he had a SYSTEM. This team does not have one at all. No identity what so ever.

What a s**tshow. Absolute no-show in a big divisional game with important ramifications. Rangers win, Isles get their doors blown off in embarrassing fashion. This team still has issues.

yup issues with consistency and execution...as frustrating as the team can be at times...it could be worse..look at edmonton..they are a hot mess... big picture the isles are still 5-3-2 in their last ten... gotta bounce back against tampa thursday.

Its time to trade KO and Bailey. They actually may bring back a decent return, if packaged with something more. Reasoner is gone after this year. A-Mac is fine, so long as he's on the bottom "D"pairing. Cappy has to demote A-Mac. Put him with Carkner on the third pair and move Visnovsky up to the top pair. Let Streit pair up with either Hickey or Martinek.

The goal song would SHREAD!!!!!!!
- jmo16

I still plan to make my push for the new goal song to be the chorus line to Fat Albert... "Na Na Na Gonna Have a Good Time, Hey Hey Hey!"

Of course I'm the only person who finds the idea of 15k (optimism) singing that song funny.....

why would you say that. Isles lost 6-1 and Hickey was +1 rating. All of Kunitz goals were the same. He went down the middle and parked in front of the net. Viznosky was on for 2 of them and hamonic got burned for the other.

The game was ruined by Ref awarding that 5 on 3 penalty in first. that said, even down 3-0, Cappy should of put in Poulin. Not that Nabby was at fault but just to get the team going that they left their goalie out to dry.

Also where has Moulson been last 4 games. If you are down 4 goals, how in the world would Cappy think that Reasoner or KO woudl be guys to help a comeback. Has reasoner even scored in isles uniform? KO just gets worse with every game.

- Spartiarti

Poor Nino had to spend an entire season on a line with that clown and Rolston. Imagine being judged on your NHL worthiness when getting 4-6 minutes a night with Reasoner.

moulson has 10 points in his last ten games...i don't think he is part of the problem...i just wish he wasn't allergic to contact..they need a physcial presence on the first line

Perhaps it's time to give Matt Martin a try on the first line?

I think it's safe to say that this franchise won't be making any "moves" of significance until they move to Brooklyn. Which could be happening as soon as next season if the buyout occurs.

I don't know about that...folks bring it up all the time, but I don't think Martin produces nearly enough. Maybe one day he could take that role, but now? I love the line he's on currently, but out of those three, Martin is actually pretty far behind the other two in offensive production. I know his role wouldn't necessarily be goal scorer on the first line...he'd be there to bang bodies and get the forecheck going...but if you're on a first line, you still have to be at least a threat to score. Martin...isn't at this time. He could be with some work...decent shot and all. But not yet.

That Neal dive in the first was disgraceful.

awful call. and the delay of game was terrible call. as howie said, thats not the spirit of the rule.

-boyes has looked horrendous recently, despite scoring a nice goal last night.
-the nielsen line needs to be blown up, and i dont mean i trade, i mean like a science experiemtn...ive had enough of those guys.
-moulson hasnt been good recently
-anyone who thinks JTs line is top 5 in the league, isnt watching the rest of the league. they are terrible defensively.
-grabner AND the entire 4th line are being robbed of ice time.

...oh ya, the defense still sucks.

only to be outdone by the awful coaching. nabby had no business playing the 2nd period.

We talked about this just the other day.. We knew it was coming. It reminds me of that line from Airplane.

He did have a system though it was system that did not work. Good riddance to Gordon, Capuano is next. See yah! Garth is a great gm. I especially like his choice of coaches.

Moulson has been horrible defensively. I know it's nit part of his game but he has been much much worse. Brad Boyes needs to go. Yeah he scored bit it doesn't make up for the rest of the game. Guy is becoming hard to watch. Terrible

As much as I love the offense from the JT line they are horrible on D. That Nielsen line is brutal. I never got all the Nielsen love anyway. Nabby should have been pulled no question.

moulson has always been bad defensively since day one..and boyes isn't much better in his own end..when the line is scoring it is over looked..when its not its an issue...i would just like the line more if either of those too would finish there checks
