whyd you take him in the first place? the guy was never good. overhyped prospect from day 1. unfortunately day 2 he got injured.
- LetsGoIsles

Second round, needed a legit starter. In retrospect would have been better off with a 3rd string FB.

EDIT- Actually it was 4th round, I went Calvin, Stafford and Fjax before him. Yea, my running backs were rough...

mcfadden has a little bit of a track record and proven he can do it.
sproles is a top 10-15 FANTASY back...especially in a ppr league.
as for the older guys; i assume turner and gore...both had very solid years.

- LetsGoIsles

The 'BURNER' is more like the guy stuck in mud. The only reason he did anything was because that offense moved to the 1 yd line with ease.

well, I wasn't going to systematically address them, but going into my draft, a wealth of these guys were already taken. So Mathews, who was one of the few projected every down backs in the league, became a keeper.

Forte-splitting time-taken
Mcfadden-never played a full season yet, splitting time. Broke 1k ONCE

At this point who cares. I am sure they will find players who at least show some heart. LAst night I have seen to many games like that where they gave up before the game started

Well, I think the overall health of the organization when considering the amount of talent we have added to the club and minors combined is miles ahead of 6 years ago. The problem is that restocking TWO franchises as opposed to retooling a few prospects to rebuild one would take a lot longer. I'm not saying the rebuild is going great or anything of the sort, but I do think we're better off as a whole than we were 6 years ago.

As for my slow and steady comment, for better or worse, I think all evidence points to that being their approach. They're simply not going to make a quantam leap this year or next. Maybe we see some more interest from UFA's this coming offseason due to JT and the promise of a new arena...maybe not. I'm not getting my hopes up.

- keaner17

I agree with you that the talent level in the minors as well as the NHL roster is much better now, however my main complaint is that developing this talent and getting the most of it needs a coach with experience and a system for them to play - they're clearly not reading the correct times to pinch and who to cover in the defensive zone to the point of leaving people wide open disturbingly often.

Put a real NHL coach, a proven one, in with the experience to start pushing these players to play the right way and the defensive end of the rink gets cleaned up, which leads to more offensive chances as we spend less time in our own end.

This team is ready to make a push at the final playoff spot in the east but with lousy effort and lazy defense combined with no accountability and this team flounders more often than not.

The coaching staff has to be a focus here. They're so close to turning this thing around and as they add more young talent over the next couple of years we could turn into a regular playoff team, but they need a leader behind the bench. We can already see how special teams have turned a corner and for the most part been the strength of the team but even strength effort, defensive coverage and line combinations have looked inconsistent at best, and laughable at times. That specific combo is on our head coach and he needs to go.

what pick did you have? whod u take first round?

mcfadden is not splitting carries...ap and charles were coming off same surgery, jamaal had it week 2-3 while ap had his week 14-16, charles was a "safer" pick.

sjax is 29, and had 8 straight seasons of 1k+ yards. hes a major sleeper pick this year depending on where he signs.

sproles huge value in ppr league..

....btw, boldin traded to the 9ers.

You figure Snow would be dying to have this team make the playoffs. Isles have a real chance to make it this year. There are coaching moves and player moves that can be made that can really help. The most fustrating thing is management does nothing to even try.

They should call the Florida Panthers and see if they would trade Erik Gudbranson for Ryan Strome straight up.

I picked 7th and took Trent Richardson with that pick. We keep three players.
I kept Rivers, Matthews and Julio Jones going into the season.
McFadden was slated to lose carries to Reese and Goodson. He wasn't even expected to carry goal-line duties. When healthy, he's one of the top 5 in the league.....that when is almost NEVER.
Jackson is a yearly underachiever in TD leagues and approaching the ugly 30 age this July on a terrible team. Remember, I'm in a keeper league. In addition, there was a lot of talk about Pead stealing carries.
Sproles, isn't a good rb option for yardage/td leagues.

So my had was pretty well forced.

Since he is arguably the worst coach in the NHL, Wang/Snow will probably give him an extension.

I beleive he is on a year by year contract. When we resigned him to that extension the details were not enclosed. I hope to God itis not a 15 year contract

He should have been on a month by month contract. It's crazy he is still the coach. It's not like we are asking for the Isles to trade for another JT. It should not be this hard.
