Rivers is done...as LetsGoIslanders said Rivers would be 3rd on my depth chart...
- kear20

Kapernick is likely my first choice but I like Wilson a lot. That said, Rivers will bounce back. It might not be this year but the guy is still a damn good quarterback. You can't have an immoble QB like him and not have a decent RB & O-Line. It doesn't keep the LB's or Safety's honest. Not to mention Norv Turner may be the one pro coach actually worse than Cappy!

That's pretty rich, making a comment about passengers on the team. How about discussing the passenger behind the bench? You know, the guy who stands there, looking like he's holding his breath the whole game? Ill-fitting wardrobe? Can't make line combos or bench the team's worst players? HOW ABOUT THAT GUY????

It would be so funny it it was not so sad.

Nah...if the guy had an offensive line that didn't represent an open gate, he'd by top 5 in league numbers. His blindside hasn't been protected for 3 years now. Plus Ryan Matthews is a BUST!

- keaner17

Agree on Matthews, I stay away from him in my drafts...

They'll fix that fast. Probably not so much this year, but by next. Even with a bad o-line he's still a 25-30 td guy and good for 4k yards. not too bad for fantasy. It's the damn int's that have spiked the last two years

Yeah..I kept reading how he was going to breakout this year and was ranked top 5 in most fantasy publications (which I normally never read). I drank the Kool-Aid and regretted it for 17 games! The guy broke BOTH collarbones in one season! He makes Martinek look like Cal Ripken Jr!

The sad part is, when he falls down the draft boards this year, you'll hear alot of Fantasy Football players saying "I hate Ryan Matthews, but I have to draft him in the 5th round, right?"

Before his collarbone injury in pre-season alot of people had him in the 3-4 RBs after Foster, Rice and McCoy.

A LOT of publications. Fantasy Football Weekley, yahoo, KFFL.com and ESPN all had him ranked top 5 going into the season. I'm not saying I believed it but I was willing to keep him for the year and play him with Trent Richardson (my other rb). Fortuantely we had a flex position for the 2nd rb spot so my team quickly moved to the run n shoot (aka chuck N duck).

They should call the Florida Panthers and see if they would trade Erik Gudbranson for Ryan Strome straight up.

Horrible idea. Strome is nearly 2ppg - best player in OHL. How about KO & Bailey. It would be payback/restitution for Parrish/Kvasha for Luongo fleecing.

LOL..you're not doing much better injury wise with McFadden. Sproles is an interesting mention since he plays with 4 runningbacks. A few old guys on that list to.

This is the mantra I think they're operating under...slow and steady. Above all, they want to avoid doing anything without being 100% positive 'it's time'. We know something has to be done with Jack, but I'm guessing they're very content to let the season play out and go from there.

I can't help but wonder what Ruff would actually say if they approached him today and offered him the job. Would he take it? Or would he be content to wait and see whether a team like Philly or whoever are looking for a coach at seasons end.

- keaner17

Saying "slow and steady" is putting a positive name on a "rebuild which has shown little to no improvement going on six years. Keeping Capuano on as coach on a team filled with your developing prospects and rebuilding team is borderline retarted. Saying they are waiting till its 100% time is trying to paint intelligence into the decision making that goes on doesn't go on. These are horrible decisions for someone who supposedly has a plan and is building through the draft. There is no way to doll it up.

Well, I think the overall health of the organization when considering the amount of talent we have added to the club and minors combined is miles ahead of 6 years ago. The problem is that restocking TWO franchises as opposed to retooling a few prospects to rebuild one would take a lot longer. I'm not saying the rebuild is going great or anything of the sort, but I do think we're better off as a whole than we were 6 years ago.

As for my slow and steady comment, for better or worse, I think all evidence points to that being their approach. They're simply not going to make a quantam leap this year or next. Maybe we see some more interest from UFA's this coming offseason due to JT and the promise of a new arena...maybe not. I'm not getting my hopes up.

mcfadden has a little bit of a track record and proven he can do it.
sproles is a top 10-15 FANTASY back...especially in a ppr league.
as for the older guys; i assume turner and gore...both had very solid years.
