It's different when a fan is laughing. Moulson puts himself in traffic taking hits to score goals. I'm sorry but to me Frans should not be comfotable being a third line guy. He should push himself to be more same for KO and Bailey. - ses111
he's a third line center..thats what he is...of course they are trying..but at some point you have to say to they are what they are...i can want to be king of england but no matter how hard i try it aint gonna happen |

i never put anything past chuckie...your right..this points are common sense and i would like to believe that nobody is that stupid...hence i have to wonder who is control - NYI78
What bothers me with this team is they are too in consistent...I don't think they have enough talent where they go ten games and come out winning seven of them in regulation. |

Per Staple:
"Capuano singled out Grabner for a soft playe before the Pens 1st goal because he failed to clear the puck and then watched Kunitz fly past him to start the play"
Gee, I've seen Streit do that multiple times this year. Okposo watched Phaneuf skate right around him and score a game winner yet Cappy has never singled those guys out. In those cases we get the generic "Guys battle level isn't good enough, they've got to pick it up".
Despite Grabner's excellent play over the last couple of weeks, we've seen his playing time decrease to under 10 minutes per game and then Cappy singles him out to the media? I'm starting to wonder if we have a personal conflict between player and coach? |

It sounds like it to me. There are plenty other guys for Jack to call out besides Grabner. |

Maybe Grabner is just to good for the team and Wang wants him out. I swear sometimes they play to lose. If anyone should be called out it is Jack by his players |

Maybe Grabner called Jack an idiot? I cannot imagine many Isles respecting this coach. |

I dont know but if I was him I would be like REally?? He plays harder than about 20 guys on that team. Makes no sense. The guy is on fire so lets decrease his minutes. This is why any other coach out there would be better than Jack anyone at all. does not take a rocket scientists to figure out that if someone is playing real well that oyu reward that player |

That will get the attention of the rest of the players. Nice response to a lousy loss. |

Really? Yet Okposo and Bailey are still here?
Yet Reasoner and Aucoin are still on this team?!

well the Isles don't play until Thursday and Bridgeport has a game tomorrow
Maybe they want to get a game in for him and then they'll bring him or somebody else back up |

I honestly believe if this were a full season, Cappy would likely be dismissed about now. Unfortunately, Snow and company will likely not feel compelled to make a coaching change with only 22 games left in the season.
We've all gone over how Capuano is clearly not a capable NHL coach as evident by is oddball lineup choices and line match ups. He also seems incapable of motivating his team and has to fall back on more respected personalities like Weight to tear into them. He's clearly just keeping the seat warm for Weight at this point which is why with a 3 day layoff, this would seem like the perfect time to can him. I think the lack of movement at the coaching position may very well signify exactly what we should expect at the trade deadline...nada. |

good point Jimbo I did not think of that but knowing the Islander Organization it might just have cleared room for Aucoin or wait for it DP!! |

It would be the perfect time to make Weight coach which means it will not happen. Weight takes over and if the team makes the playoffs you have your coach otherwise you bring in a guy like Ruff. I have no idea what the trade deadline will bring. I would hope they do not risk losing guys like Vish and Streit for nothing. We have all seen that movie before. |

Quite possible if they didn't plan to play him in the next game or two. No point in having him sit for yet another week like they did earlier. I'd rather think this was signifying the call up of one of our scoring line kids but I doubt it. |

Unreal...the man refuses to name names on his "passengers" quote for how long...and the first player he throws under the bus is Grabner??? Please get rid of this coach. If you do nothing else this season, Garth, get this guy out from behind the bench.

I think it was Staple who said the Isles will not make another PA type error at this trade deadline. If Streit truly wants $5 million he should be sent off with laughter echoing in his ears. If Vis truly has interest in hanging around for a year, I'd see just how cheap he could come, but I'm betting he either goes KHL or to a contender. (I'm sure Capt will love that one )
I'd much rather see the Isles find a way to package one of the two with KO or Bailey and bring back an impact prospect but teams searching for players at the deadline are rarely looking to return players in the deal. |

I'm surprised he did not call out JT. This guy is just begging to get canned. |
