I am sure the AHL gets much better attendance on the weekend then they would get on a Tuesday night, and that is the reason for it.

The Hawks streak was impressive but the loser point is a joke and puts an asterisk next to the run they had.

A loss should be a loss and there shouldn't be a reward for it, period.

Agree on the OT losses but what about the shootout? They didn't have those obviously when the Flyers set the standard. Wonder what would have happened had those games that ended in ties had gone to a shootout.

With the parity in today's NHL, I think the Blackhawks streak is equally impressive to the Flyer's streak, if not more impressive. There used to be some real bad teams back in they day. That's simply not the case now.

I agree. Certainly they were lucky to some extent but there's no arguing how impressive their accomplishment is. They found ways to win a lot of games that they easily could have lost. Now that it's over I think they'll slump a bit. I have to imagine that pressure was emotionally taxing.

There was 1 time, I think both of you were at total defcon 5 war on the Toronto thread, a good 4 years ago probably about something, it was epic, if only I could read through that again.

And the Isles thread after BD left was a disaster too I recall, cheater was causing all kinds of trouble there, that chickendirt a hole was fighting with another Isles poster. I wish there was archives on here you could go back & read through old blogs...besides the recent ones that is.
