Actually Richards was playing pretty well before the hit... had assists in 2 straight games, and looked like he was finally getting his head in the game.

Trollx36 has a point about Richards, was awful until these last two games.

Maybe that hit woke him up, well let's hope anyway. Dude was sleepwalking before last week's incident.

He's stupid because he lack intelligence, not cause he's Canadian.
- tomburton99

Do you live in Buffalo? I deal with Canadians on a day to day basis with my job. I know how stupid some can be. Don't teal me what is right or wrong when you have no idea.

Yup. But I'm not a Rangers fan so I cant state that he was playing awful before the hit. Even though I bet I know more about Rangers hockey and watched more Rangers hockey then half the Rangers fans.

I'm out. Pc

I don't have time for your Canadian hate. Just like people who live in Canada who think Americans are stupid. No time for it. If you're stupid it's because you not educated, not becuase where you live or where you born. Take that back to his thread.

lol just because your a rangers fan doesn't mean your the only one watching them play. Richards was playing awful before the hit. I'm not arguing. Facts are facts.
- Smittyx36

You saw the Tampa game prior? If you did then you wouldn't say he played poorly. And what part of "just" started turning it around dont you understand? Your point was he has been awful so keeping him out not only justified the suspension but it enabled Tortorella to bench him? Ok. You talk about facts?

He wasn't lighting it up, he was playing a little better. But he has been brutal this season, they need him to step it up. He is too good a player to have this low point total.

He is 2nd. He didn't flop around on the ground like a fish holding every part of his body for 5 minutes after the hit.

Perhaps he thought he may have broke his neck and they realized he in fact got extremely lucky

I don't think anyone said he was lighting it up. But you could see him getting his game back before the Kaleta hit. He was brutal up until that point. Nobody can argue that. The Kaleta hit didn't wake him up as much as it delayed Richards resurgence. I'm happy he is really starting to produce bc with the way Stepan has emerged we are solid in the top 6.

Stepan has made my early season criticisms on him look really foolish. He has been great these last two or three weeks.

And I love how he made Ovechkin's impression of a matador the turning point with that bank job off of Holtby. How about Holtby getting pulled after Ovechkin basically caused all 3 goals against. Sheesh. Imagine Ovechkin playing for Torts?

Ovechkin is still a great player but something is off in his game, these last few years.

Stepan's goal was huge, swung the momentum in the Rangers favor. He is turning into a perfect second line center. Can even be a top line center when Richards' game is off.

The homegrown talent on this team, considering they never have a lottery pick, is really impressive.

Oh and that Rick Nash guy is pretty good too, hahaha

It would be like a combination of Boyle, Avery and Gaborik all in one.

All those years of coverage, eh?

Can't say enough of how outstanding it is to have this guy on the Rangers.
