Kane for Perry?

Would Hawks fan really be on board with that? Kane is three years younger, sure Perry is the big power forward everyone in the NHL loves, but Kane is ridiculously talented and finally seems to be focused and not to mention that Perry will be demanding a similar to deal as Getzlaf. I would prefer Kane over Perry as a GM.

I am thoroughly convinced that insanity has made the NHL it's permanent home!

Getzlaf gets $8+ million and now Perry may get $9+ million?

I think trading him will allow the Ducks to get a player of less money that can produce good numbers ie. Kessel (6m tops) and gain a young D-man ie. Gunnerson (2-3m), franson (2-3m), holzer (2m) or Frasor(3m) and get a second rounder to boot.. maybe a first maybe...

Yeah, I'd honestly rather have Kessel at 5 or 6 million than Perry at 8.5 but I'm guessing I'm in the minority on that one.

Nooooo. Not at all the devils style to trade for a player in the last year of his deal and then give him a HUGE contract. Ilya Kovalchuk and his 17 year I mean 15 year deal completely agree with that assessment.
