How many years did it take the Sedin sisters to hit their potential?

Of course you do have a point writing off a 19 year old first overall pick is the wise thing to do, I mean he'll never be Sedin good. He sure has hell hasn't proven enough to be Corey Schneider untouchable.

- Reveen

The two greatest human beings in the game and you call them sisters I'd say they hit their stride the year after the lockout but they came from europe, and when they got here they got man handled in the corners. It took a while for their bodies to develop to withstand the punishment they take on a game to game basis.

2nd line forwards should not be untradable
- VANTEL

Agreed but he is the only power forward you have. The rest are all the same type players.

President's trophy.

You're always in the hunt for the cup.

That is why no one is critical of the Sedins , bt they haven't won the big prize nor do I think they will.

If a teams objective is to come close then stay the course.

There are trades available for better power forwards. He is a small power forward.

Oiler's depth is terrible in bottom 6 roles. Mike Brown is an improvement.

I've had concerns over Tambellini's management. They could have gotten good players if, say, they listened to other teams about moving down in the draft some of those years. Last year, look at the d-men that were available and they pick up Yakupov. He said he was listening to trades, but was he? Don't get me started on the Hemsky situation.

Think Edmonton's gotta think about moving one of the big four. If I were them, I'd move Hall. But how? Tambellini overvalues their players. How many significant deals has he done over the past few years? And what's Krueger trying to do with the team identity? Jacques Martin, Brent Sutter, now Lindy Ruff, a few coaches that have had success that could give them an identity... is Krueger trying to give them an identity? I don't know...

If Edmonton get first overall again this year, there's gonna be some angry fans around the league. Teams shouldn't get rewarded for this kind of management.

So would you rather trade them or bring in the missing pieces to help them get it done.

This is a very young team that's learning on the fly and clearly frustrated.

Doesn't mean you do anything drastic. You cant blow up a team that's in the middle of being rebuilt.

This team needs real defenseman, period.

The need to get two forwards that can play top 6 or at least top 9 that are hard to play against and compete every night and bring leadership and playoff experience.

look at the list of ufa's... not saying they will make it to july 1 though getz

Perry
Clarkson
Clowe
Stewart (RFA)
Horton
Iginla

And at top 4 dman to help moving the puck. At this point i wouldn't move peckham or fistric. you need to be physical and push the skilled forwards around.
Lydman
Streit

then they should sign a couple of young "enegy kids" to play on the 4th line with jones/brown. They could battle it out in camp... must be able to skate fast, hit hard, block a shot with your face and then fight

At $6 mil, you will not get a taker for a better power forward unless you throw in your 1st pick.

Me personally ? Yes I would.

The problem is they have done so much for the city it becomes like moving Iggy, lots of fans would be screaming.

They way to shut down the Sedins in the playoffs ( 7 game series ) is go stand beside the one without the puck. I would do a trade of both Sedins for Toews crosby Malkin in a heartbeat. I would also trade them for a Letang Kunitz + deal. This would never happen but the theme is for the right trade you do it.

They've been rebuilding for the past 5 years. That's to long. They should be a playoff team by now. And yes they need a real D, but they don"t want to trade any of their long list of untouchables for one.

Yes, but realistically, you will lose big time in a trade. So the best answer is to strengthen your supporting cast and hope your goalie does the rest. Start by trading Kesler.

They've been rebuilding for 3, this is year 4. They shouldn't necessarily be a playoff team, but they should be much better than this

When guys like Keaton Ellerby are going for 5ths, in my opinion Tambi isn't doing enough. Ill leave it at that.

lets just say we end up with clarkson and clowe... I know it is more of a pipe dream. i personally wanna move hall to center.
Yak/Hall/Clarkson
Clowe/Nuge/Ebs

Gagner/Hemmer on the outside looking in. they could be traded for other assest that will help this team win.

You seriously think they'd have any problem trading Hall or Eberle if they so desired?

There's been tons of guys on the market that would have helped this team a lot and Tambo has just sat on his fat ass munching canolis and planning for the draft. even recently, can anyone tell me exactly why Hamrlik wouldn't have been a help? "We're satisfied with the group we have." WHY?

Eberle 30 teams would jump at .

Hall would have to be a sweet deal for the other team

Devan Dubnyk should get the same as anything the Canucks could get for Schneider.
- Crazycaboose

.929, .936, .913

.916, .914, .916

The save % for both Schneider and Dubnyk. One has a deep defense corp in front of him the other has a rag tag group.

Bishop for your 2nd pick?

Oilers are my second fav team. People who are demanding they acquire more forwards are on Peyote. This team has had one of the worst D in the league for the past 2-3 years.

This is coming from a fan who's top pairing because of injuries is Methot - Gryba

If you can get it .

Every team in the league will be looking at Perry Clarkson and Clowe . You probably could only afford 1
