If that's the case, he can't be trolling me until I grant him a sufficient reaction.

That is true. I'm not well versed in trolling etiquette.

I know this guy is not a centre but how about taking a shot at nathan horton? hes got a bit of bite too him and maybe you could get rid of hemsky for him, Boston probably wont be willing but you could try. Then trade gagner to tampa for someone like ohlund who could give you leadership and a bit of toughness on the back end. Not saying that either of the teams would go for this but hell its worth a shot and you keep your core!

It's going to be next to impossible to find a big power forward/scoring centre so I am just suggesting

The title is 100% inaccurate..... Steve Tambellini is fine and would be fine if KLowe was NOT here! KLowe is a CANCER and needs to go! Plain and simple! He started this mess and he is still there pulling the strings. Tambo is the ONLY GM in this league that has the title of GM but isn't really a GM! CANCER=LOWE. If you want to win remove the cancer!

the sharks honestly are very deep at centre so they wouldn't need gagner, hemsky really isnt going to fit so what would you trade them?

We wouldn't have a 2C until the draft. Also, we'd be trading away Gagner for Ohlund who isn't much of an upgrade over Smid, was almost forced to end his career due to injury last season, and is in the twilight of career anyways.

The final option is to suck it up and wait 5 or 6 years for the players to mature. You got all these players and top picks and keep crying that you're not making the playoffs NOW NOW NOW NOW NOW NOW. Sure, the Pens did it right quick and got a cup. So did Chicago. A few strong draft years. Proper development. A Captain and some leadership (and some veterans on the roster who are useless turds).

I hate to sound like a broken record. But it's YOUR damn team. It's missing one thing that isn't goaltending. And they're obviously not growing up. Watching them get beaten like a redheaded stepchild tonight should be a wakeup call. You need ONE veteran in the locker room. One who will open his mouth and lead by example. Be it a timely hit, a timely goal, or a timely anything. Edmonton can keep drafting #1 for the next 20 years.

But you're only breeding a losing culture.

He is an UFA so I assume it wouldn't cost too much. They could use Hemsky as Havlat has been poop for them!

Not only have we not scored a goal in 2 games, we haven't even had a power play.

Renney .... I mean Kreuger should have been a little more pissed off after this game.

If one of our problems is the core is too young how is trading our vets for younger players going to help? Seems like a constant rebuild model.

I said ONE vet. ONE. Craptain Canada has been tuned out in that locker room. You need one vet, one guy, somebody in that room those little diaper wearers will listen to, look up to and hopefully emulate. No leader. No Team. Hall can beat his chest all he wants, but he doesn't have the 'it' yet. He's like a Toews Lite. He's got 'it'. But it's gonna be awhile before it blooms. One vet, some more maturity (time) and Edmonton will be all you want it to. I'm not trolling. I'm a Avs fan. We're in the same damn boat you are. Just not drafting #1's every year.

Fire Tambe and Kruger!
Hire Burke and Ruff'

- Paintball1

Honestly, if Edmonton did that. They would have a stellar team.

The way Burke can fleece teams with bottom 6 players and crappy Dmen and the way Ruff coaches.

Would work well

Only LOWE would screw it up to get his 1st overall picks year after year.

10. Hire Laughs2907 as head coach

I will rape each player in the locker room if they continue their pointless existence as constant failures. This team needs a good skull (frank)ing or two, that's my opinion.

Biggest problem is NOT in the locker room, they didn`t assemble themselves there.

HA! No you couldn't. I guarantee you that. But, if you insist:

Devan Dubnyk should get the same as anything the Canucks could get for Schneider.

Sam Gagner is at least an average 2nd line center.

Jeff Petry is a top-4 Dman on most teams in the NHL.

Ladislav Smid is a top-notch PKer and shot blocker but isn't good for much else.

Ales Hemsky is a skilled top-6 playmaker.

The thing is, the bar has yet to be set when it comes to post-lockout trades so I couldn't give you any definitive values on those players. What do you want me to evaluate them by? The pick(s) they would garner in a trade with the ideal trade partner? I need more parameters for this.

My point was that I would bring a different coaching style... And yes, coaching is the main issue with this team right now. Sorry, the players still get raped though...The management gets 2x... Coaching staff gets 3x.

The Oilers are my team...

That being said I don't want Jones, or Drouin, or MacKinnon, or Barkov. I'd rather trade down in the draft. Look where youth has gotten us, nowhere. That being said I have faith in Eberle, Nuge, Yak, Schultz, and Klefbom. But they need to be better complemented with experience.

Dubnyk would not fetch the same as Schneider. While Schneider hasn't played as well as expected this year he has proved more than Devan, who also hasn't played as well as expected this year. I like Doobs and hopes he and the rest of the team can pick it up.

Id never trade any of the guys I've mentioned so far for Morrow

Adding experience is key to the Oilers success, experience that wants to win. Brown seems like a player who's trying but as Clouts said he's a fourth liner that's doing what you would expect of him.

I agree it's time to get rid of Tambo, I like Krueger but only as an assistant coach. I think adding players like Streit and Clowe would be wise. Vets that are used to playing large minutes. And get rid of Smyth Horcoff Belanger!
