you're a pretty good indication that Canada has an open door policy on insecure, douchebag assholes too.

In my opinion, Mackinnon is, would be next year, and would definitely in the future be more physical than either Gagner or Nugent-Hopkins. That being said I don't want to be drafting anywhere near the lottery, and Jones might be the BPA anyway.

Maybe true with Pre-Bowman Yzerman, It would be a hell of a series.
- ShooterMcGavin

There aren't many that would beat Yzerman but Mess would. Who are your top 5 in their prime.

Game 7
Forwards of all the same player.
Gretzky
Messier
Lemieux
Lindros
Yzerman

Hard to leave off Forsberg & Sakic

I don't know how you don't the order doesn't go Jones then Drouin. He is the same size as Mackinnon, he plays on the same team, he has 11 more goals, 18 more assists and is about +10 more than Mackinnon (going with TSN's last post). He has played 4 more games so if Mackinnon can get 29 points in 4 games then they are equal. Plus we saw them at the Junoirs, Drouin was a force. People say the World Jrs. doesn't matter but Eberle destroyed at the Jrs, and was the reason we liked him. That turned out OK. He is left wing and is one of a few players that can enter the league next year.

For those that haven't seen him he is a high energy player like Hall, he is 6 ft and just under 200lbs, which is a good size for a rookie. That allows us to trade Gagner and move Hall to center or trade Hemsky and move Yakupov to his normal wing on that line.

Although Jones is obviously the best choice for us.

No, wasn't planning on it. We get some good hockey here though. I like the blazers for minor league but I am taking a job in Alberta so I finally get to move back to the world of blue and copper. I will be watching Oil games only from now on.

We don't need another small offensive winger. Mackinnon didn't get the same opportunity at the juniors. He was playing behind Nuge & Strome . Mackinnon looks and plays a lot bigger, can't believe they are listed at the same height.

I don't think Neely is in the conversation. What he did well he did really well but not enough.

I think Lindros is a lot more complete player. Better playmaker and better defensively. Liners being there could be debated though I'll give you that.

I am going to throw a rumor out there and you guys can tell me if you think it is possible. The Oilers about 5 years ago tried to pry Marleau from SJ. At the time he was having troubles with management. Now SJ has tried to shake things up in many ways but never gets near a cup. Marleau started the season strong but has almost no points in the better part of a month (which is killing my hockey pools).

He is 33, from Sk and he is a big guy. SJ has 13 players signed next year and roughly 10 million to get the rest of the team filled. Marleau has 1 more year at 6.9 mil. The Oilers could spare that cap space for a year and hopefully negotiate something more realistic after since it is post CBA. Most of our big stars are signed next year and we have some room. SJ has 14 RFA's to resign as well. They also only have 2 dmen.

Do you think it is plausible that we could trade them a package of guys for Marleau? Like LA and Columbus did to Philly. Give them depth on D and replace their center. If you look at his stats, he is really not performing. I don't know what his problem was with management and what his attachment is to SJ but the theory is, we are the closest team to his home. He has 2 sons, 6 and 3 years old so he might not be cemented.

He has a no trade clause and his wife did not want to leave Cali. Otherwise he would be a great addition.

Edmonton would be foolish not to inquire about Keith Yandle. With the coyotes, cost may always be a factor and it's a safe assumption that they'd be willing to move him for the right pieces.

Sure, he's pretty one track in terms of his skillset, but I don't think beggars can be choosers in this situation. It's not like he's Marc-Andre Bergeron - dude's a legit top 4 anywhere and top 2 on a lot of teams. And our team would benefit immensely offensively and overall from him.
