It would be similar to when the Pens acquired Jay McKee. - Gunner Staal
Were you aware that we were the team who drafted this Jake Muzzin kid on LA? |

I hear ya. All I'm saying is if I'm a Ducks fan I'm not comfortable moving Hiller right now and running with Neuvy/Fasth just to open up a little Cap space.
I mean the team is 16-3-3 or something, they probably shouldn't be changing anything. - canadianpenfan
If not for vertigo Hiller would still be amongst the best goalies but he did have vertigo and he hasn't fully regained his form. Sadly I don't think he will. |

I was aware. Remembered he was picked by the Pens and looked up for his file a couple days ago
I wanted to see what we traded him for....we didn't get anything |

We didn't get anything because he was never signed. Hindsight is 20/20 but he looks like a keeper. |

I remember following him a bit while at Cornell.. I guess we only like to pick up the Ivey league kids off waivers. (Adams) |

We need better scouts/evaluators....Moulson and Muzzin were lost in the pack.
Anyway, what's Martin St.Louis story?
Edit: I'd sign Gunner for that |

No reason to say you're wrong, I just haven't seen it from him at this level. If you were running a team is that a chance you would be willing to take? A season could be derailed mighty fast if it didn't work out. - canadianpenfan
Neuvy is decent, not great but a credible starter in the league. He's lost his job by being outperformed by Holtby, and he's on the outs a bit here for his comments during the lockout. |

Exactly, though Hamrlik also has the misfortune of being really bad at hockey at this point. |

Yeah - maybe the Staal injury is long-term and they wanted a veteran on the back end ? |

true...and yes his mouth does seem to get him in trouble quite a bit. but the caps don't play very good defense in front of him. i think he could be a star if he has the right group of guys in front of him |

I was at the Caps game last night and didn't have an opportunity to see the comments on the Pens blog last night - did it get pretty ugly in here when the Flyers were up 4-1 (i.e. was it "Fire Bylsma" time, etc) ? |

A little... but on the Flyers blog about a half hour later, they were calling for Laviolette's head, so it sorta balanced out lol. |

From my part YES. I even sugested I'd trade Neal if the return was good |

Yes, the Caps defense is pretty spotty - I will say that Holtby has generally outperformed Neuvy playing behind that same defense, though neither has been great. I think a change of scenery would probably be a good thing for Neuvy. |

We were trying to treat that like when someone says something uncomfortable when they were really drunk, and their friends just pretend it didn't happen the next day - rival22
true.
At least I thought I was on my mental faculties. I proposed a Neal for D.Brown and J.Stoll. The return wasn't bad... |

I know that you guys would hate it, but I (and probably every other neutral hockey fan) would love to see a 1 vs 8 or 2 vs 7 matchup between Philly and Pittsburgh. The train wreck potential for another playoff series between these two is off the charts. |
