(this IS a trick question)

What do you think Saad will want when his deal is up?

- John Jaeckel

His own Chevy commercial, a bobble head night and at least 3 Steve Konroyd mentions per CSN broadcast.

Standard 2 year hype deal.

This is, like, the 4th or 5th place I've seen this today. It has truly gone viral. Notice also, the tab immediately to the left of the nhl store tab above the jersey pic field.

Imagine if this jersey came in the mail a few years ago.

Your Jesus #20 could have been referring to:

Jim Playfair
Ville Nieminen
Brandon Bochenski
Robert Lang
Jack Skille
Sami Lepisto

So...looks lke JJ's lead of 3-6 weeks for Sharp was pretty accurate based on the reports from TSN and NBC. At least 3, probably 4 weeks. There is no rush to bring him back in 2 weeks. This team literally could have a playoff spot clinched by Easter.

I also had a very nice chuckle last night reading all about the Sharp HATE and Stalberg love...My god. I wont even ask how, but to think a guy who arguably is a worst finisher (Stalberg) has scored all of 20+ goals 1 time, can replace a guy who puts up 30 regularly, is hilarious. Even more so, is the illusion that Stalberg is some defensive wizard. Thsi guy makes as many bad turnovers as Versteeg used to.

Lets all say it together...SHARP WILL NOT BE BOUGHT OUT. Say it again, if you want to. They have 4 legit top 6 forwards on this team, so how do you improve bouncing one, and over paying a complimentary player like Stalberg?

If Sharp is so much better at scoring goals how does he have less this year playing with better players?

He's obviously having an off year...though he was finally showing signs of life when he was hurt

He's been playing with the same players all along. But i guess no one can have any slumps in their game!

You are correct obviously. I said it more so prove a point to the other commenter. Who cares how guys played in previous years. With the way they have both played this season I think most would agree Stalberg has been better.

I don't think Stalberg has been better. He had a chance to become a first line player for us last year and he just couldn't catch the pass! And when he did he couldn't bury it!! No one to blame but himself!!!

But we all know it should be for Al "Jesus-Rocky" Secord, the highest penalized 44-goal scorer in history. 1981-82: 44G, 303PIM.

I purposely ignored him

Very nice guy and loved him as a player, crazy to think that he is a pilot out of Dallas now-a-days for American Airlines. If a guy with skills like that played in the current NHL with these bonehead GMs throwing around $$ like it's Monopoly money, he'd never have to work a day in his life after the NHL.

Really speaks to Al's character and personality to have a driving passion outside of playing hockey and how different circumstances were.

Coming in late so maybe this was already noted but Hawks site confirms Hossa, Frolik, and Shaw will play tonight. Also confirms Montador is cleared to play. Good news overall - gotta feeling it will be tough in Denver tonight.

Watching Florida and Winnipeg. Funny watching for 3 minutes, puck from Buff to Ladd, Campbell to Versteeg, then more Buff, some Ladd, then Skille off bench...now Kopecky...Lots of familiar names...

JJ have seen rumors of Buff in demand. Don't doubt that. Do you think the Peg would deal him?

Dunno, not exactly wired in up there. Have heard the rumors, too. I will ask Tessier who is a buddy of mine.

Add in that Brouwer is in that division and you get a host of familiarity...was even crazier last season when the Panthers had Madden for a late-season stint.

It certainly made sense for Stan to try and send as many guys as possible over to the East to limit any impact they make against the Hawks. Eager, Madden (in Minne briefly), Niemi and Burish are the only guys who've stuck around in the West and besides Nemo they haven't hurt the Hawks much.

It's going to be interesting if Ladd and Buff are both still in Winnipeg next season when they join a division with the Hawks.

One of the funniest moments of live hockey I witnessed last season was seeing Pat Kane try to check Buff and Dustin just laughing his way back to the visitors bench.
