You Canuck fans are the biggest bunch of bandwagon jumpers in the NHL . As soon as they put together a 5 game win steak it will be plan the parade route again. The Canucks are no longer one of the elite teams in the league, they feast on awful teams in the Northwest Division and are basically a 500 club against the rest of the league. - HawkfaninBC
Band wagon jumpers wouldn't be here posting possible solutions to the issues with their team.
They would be off the band wagon. Doing other things. Not discussing hockey.
But hey thanks for the cliche thoughts that you most likely read somewhere else, and thought you'd post as your own insight.

I'd recommend some ice, but you know how scrotums and ice go. |

I am not saying that guys on hockeybuzz are bandwagon jumpers, just the average Canuck fan tends to jump on and off. I live in BC and nearly everyone I know is a Canuck fan and they are not on the wagon at this point. And the thoughts are my own just as I am sure yours are too. |

Hopefully it's a short stay, and he ends up being that sniper the Canucks' top6 has been missing. |

The first hour or so was exciting...but then the thrill of freedom was gone.
I just ended up getting too drunk and making a mess—now I'm hungover at work, and I have a mess to clean up when I get home.
It's like when a long-term convict gets out on bail—once the initial thrill of freedom is gone, you long for the structure and the security of the cell again... - Fosco

Knowing AV, Jensen will be on the 4th line as soon as he realizes he's not a two-way player... |

Fredo...as a canucks fan, and a blackhawks fan, I have to agree with the overall, jist of your comment. Last night not one canuck took the body on any bluejackets. They just chased all night trying to poke the puck free with their sticks while chasing, whatever happened to throwing a hard hit to try and separate the player and puck. There isn't any grit on this team, there could be, but I get the feeling AV doesn't want that style of play.
I like the Sedins, unfracking believable puck possession skills, but my 2 year old granddaughter stands up for herself better than those 2. A leader should lead by example and I guess that's what our captain and his assistants are doing. Lets go out there and beat the opposition with finesse, we'll take a beating physically but man do we look good when we have the puck for our 45sec. shift.
As you stated I want a coach who will make EVERY player accountable, offensively and defensively...no one gets a free ride. - Makita
It looked like Thors Hammer hit Dorsett but I'm pretty sure it was the best hit of the season by a Canuck this far when Alberts took him out clean on a close scoring opportunity... but yes, it was the only hit I saw myself...

It wouldn't surprise me to find out that the sleep doctor's name is "Ike Illis" or "Mik Gill"... The results have been so mediocre that it must have been a scam to supplement a certain somebody's salary. All he has to do is add an 'M' & 'G' or 'e' & 'is' to the cheques prior to deposit. #ConspiracyTheory - DrChristianTroy
I've been laughing at all the credit given for the sleep doctor. Sure, I was supportive of these very new ideas all the way but as time goes by, Gillis gets less and less credit for this team and poeple are basically pointing at things in his defense that are pretty impossiblle to prove.

Regardless of what AV says, he's old school and young players must earn their ice time because he's completely incapable of teaching young players anything! |

I'm a big believer in the implementation of 'outside the box' strategies to maximize potential, but the execution in this case has clearly been less than effective.
(What's new?)
Not sure if it's the doctor's fault or the lack of synergy between his findings/recommendations and the coaching staff's willingness to recognize them. AV the hockey dictator has proven that he isn't the type of guy to give two sh!ts about someone else's input, and it's obvious that the team hasn't taken advantage of the information at their disposal. |

I agree they need to earn their opportunities, but the other players on the team need to be held with the same accountability, and that's not always the case.
AV also goes a bit overboard by forcing the two-way play. Some players are just not good at both ends of the ice, and banishing them to the 4th line for long stretches won't always fix that, and it helps neither the team or the player. |
