Quick quiz: What teams have a losing record against the NorthWest Division as I write this?

Answer: Only Dallas (4-5-0) and Edmonton (3-4-1) By contrast 5 teams have losing records against the Central Division, and 6 teams have losing records against the Pacific Division.

I figured out what a complete joke the NorthWest Division was back when Corey Perry was clearly the best player over whichever overrated twin was not injured that year. But it's getting really bad now. Luckily they are blowing that joke of a division up soon. Look at the record that awesome Canucks team has this year:

Versus the NorthWest: 6-1-1
Versus the Central: 2-1-3 (I know, the Blue Jackets are tough!))
Versus the Pacific: 3-4-2

It doesn't matter as much this year since each team plays about the same number of games against each division, but seriously.....the NorthWest boasts 4 of the 5 worst teams in the West.

I think my argument ends like this: Therefore, the Canucks are waaaaaaay overrated. It'll be awesome when the Ducks get to pad their schedule against Edmonton and Calgary in their own division. Enjoy your tilt against another paper tiger Sunday in Minnesota.

Yeah, Ducks have been pretty bad ass the last few years only to have a tough division stop their sure run to the Cup. Wasn't that their players were under performing or their goaltending sucked. Keep talking smack, though. It's very convincing in hindsight.

That doesn't solve a single one of our problems and solves a bunch of yours. We make a lateral move in goal, trade a young offensively-gifted top-4 Dman for an older more physical offensive Dman, downgrade our future RW significantly, and lose our 2nd line C in exchange for a struggling #4 type puck mover and a poopty tough guy prospect.

You were joking about that deal, right?

I disagree with that point, but that's an argument in itself. Regardless, even without Gagner, I'd be reluctant to do the trade. Any deal sending Yakupov to Vancouver has to have Jensen+ coming back.

Trading the core of the team and firing all management and coaches. Simple.

Why does every fan have to be so f*cking stupid. Year after year it always the same. People focus on like 20-30 game spans and form their opinions off of those and never take into consideration their past or their talent. Continuous stat watching. It's embarrassing. Hockey fans have to be the dumbest out of all the sports.

Well for one thing , we are half way through the regular season and could be in the 10th spot by Tuesday. We are on a downward slide and the second half of last year was not good either.

Things get old (hockey teams included) . We have been drafting lately about 20-30 and our prospect pool is right at the throw me a life preserver spot.

The message is stale in the room and the on ice performance is predictable .

The person we are counting on to put us on his back and run with the team is an ass and has been injured for the better part of two years.

We need to let go of two years ago SCFs run and pay attention to now. We have about 5 guys playing good and the rest are struggling. We have 15 mil in cap space sitting on the bench and things can not stay the same.

You would think Katz would have gutted that whole front office by now. Whats this going to be, 6 straight years picking top 10?

That is a complete joke.

The funny thing is management probably believes this team is team is poised for a deep playoff run. Wait that isn't funny. I don't blame Kesler though he gets a bum wrap because of the diving and attitude. I think this team does need and american attitude in the locker room. Injuries are a part of the game not his fault.

I think most on here that Keslers stylle of play leads to most of his injuries. If he plays balls to wall he gets injured if he cuts back his style he is less effective. Catch 22

Kesler is too thin, not enough fat...that's why he gets injured all the time.

Totally agree I feel the same way about Ovi his style of play has caught up him. You see that in players. I hate to see anyone hurt but they shouldn't change that style its exciting and effective. In the words of the great Neil Young Its better to burn out than fade away. Hey hey my my.
