See, everyone harped on me all year about loving Ganger and hating Hemsky. Why trade Hemsky, we need to get rid of Gagner. This is why. Hemsky is great for the 30 games a season he plays. Gagner is a work horse every night. He doesn't have the talent the other top 6 do but he comes to play. He may get better, who knows but at least he leads by example. More than I can say for our vets.

This team is trashed and I don't even blame them. Lowe needed to be gone long ago but for some reason Katz kept him. Then Tamb came in and got entrenched and stopped doing anything. Proving Lowe to be the second worst GM in Oilers History. Then Tamb gives Krueger a shot at coaching instead of a... real NHL coach and it goes bust. So now we are stuck in a position where our President of Hockey Operations should have been fired years ago. But before that we need a new GM and a new coach. Which sucks because Krueger had potential on paper, he is just... really, really bad. He is not able to put together simple line combinations. Change has to start at the top (oh and dubnyk sucks).

Well strangely enough...The Oilers are only a couple points above the basement, but still only 3 points out of a playoff spot. The whole league is VERY tight. Pull off a few points to end the road trip, get home and start a winning streak. Hope Hemsky is ok so he can finally be gone.

I'd say Nuge, Hall, Schultz. If Nuge is gone, who's the 1C? Eberle could be replaced by Yak and vice versa.

I'd trade Eberle or Yak to get like OEL in return, but I don't think PHO would do that. (don't overreact oiler fans, OEL is a STUD DMAN)

Oil aren't that bad, I would just like to see them improve their Goalie situation...if I didn't hate them. But it is hard to hate a team who has been awful for 7 yrs. So I want them to be good again.

Just because Horcoff isn't the best leader in the world, and even if they don't miss his leadership, they obviously miss his play. He's better defensively than his replacement, and they miss him on the PK and in the faceoff circle. You don't need to endorse everything Horcoff does to think the team would be better if he was playing.

As for the leadership in the room, replace Belanger, Horcoff, Smyth, etc. if you want. Get the best leaders in the NHL. If they're not better players, we won't have a better team.

Dubnyk- the ONLY FREAKING REASON the Oil are not in the playoff position now. The team as constructed now, with an established #1, would be a playoff team. Though, this was the concern from the first puck drop.

Here is my question- could they trade for Ryan Miller? And if so, what would the Oil fans be willing to give up? If you ask me, now would be the time to strike, with Miller not having a Vezina yr.
