We rushed all our picks and now what- Nuge is stinking it up horribly trying to overlearn the 2 way game- that now he has little offense... on top of being injured... and now Yaks -is simply lost on the ice... FFS.... further- look at the damage being done to JSChultz... we got vets who play 15 games or maybe a couple more then they vagina it out for the remainder of the year... for examples see horcoff and hemsky 2009-today... - saskoil21
Not that I don't really disagree, but this is why when people say Klefbom will help next year I laugh my ass off.
Horc isn't an issue, there's a reason the team did a free fall after he got hurt. |

There really was nothing we could do other than shelter Yak in the NHL.
In Junior he was taught to chase the puck at all costs.
In the KHL he was taught to spin out of the offensive zone if there was trouble.
Give him primo PP time while playing 3rd line ES time. |

RNH has 8 points, It is "Yakupov", for a guy who has no business in the NHL at 19 he is good enough for 8th on the leafs in scoring, Shawn not Sean, and suggesting the likes of Hall and Ebs aren't ready for the NHL is like saying the fat people that frequent wal-mart aren't ready to sit down and eat at the in house Mcdonalds. Clearly playing in the NHL and leading the league in scoring while they were there (Eb's and Schultz) isn't the answer as you think they are not "NHL ready". In the future, please think before allowing your hands to type out crap. - ruttager17
See you completely misunderstand. First of all, I am glad that you corrected my spelling because that is really what the internet needs, more spelling police. However, I am not saying Hall and Eberele arent NHL players, I am saying that this should be their rookie years instead of having rushed them and teaching them how to lose. You think a team capable of being last for five years would have more patience, but they have rushed each of their picks to the NHL the second they were eligable. NOt smart, in my opinion. |

Any thoughts on realignment? Gregor and Brownlee seem to think the games being later are an issue, but our home games are starting to get later simply because of being on doubleheaders on TSN/Sportsnet.

Thats the part where I feel Kreuger fails... Yaks has the best one timer on the team as a rookie and we dont play him on 5 on 3s nor any PPs in overtime??? we instead give it to our injured players who cant get it up... FFS its frustrating |

He gets like 2:44 per game on the PP.... Krueger seems to be using him alot less on the PP. |

I agree and disagree. Mason was ROY and I'd say he's been rushed.
The biggest problem is the samething with Gagner. When you are rookie you have it easy, people don't have the book on you so you can do well. But you do well and you are a big target in year two, the book is out on you.
Look at PRV, excellent rookie year but has struggled up until recently.
It's a very fine line and I don't blame them for playing 1st overalls the next year because Junior does nothing. It's why I think it's a joke not to allow this kids to play in the AHL and round themselves out.

99% of teams would've played RNH last year, Hall the year before, Yak this year and Jones next year. |

No poop... but something is horribly wrong with the fuker this year... he sucks and bad... he loses his edge at least 3 times a game and a fair amount in the offensive zone... he refuses to shoot as much - he is not as accurate... if he is injured take a game or 2 off and heal FFS.. its not like we are winning anyway |

Could Shawn Horcoff play tonight?R. Krueger likes 4 natural centremen.C. VandeVelde sent down and captain was expected to play late in trip
This would help in that theory. |

Easy to think with how well the Leafs are doing but they were also in a very different situation. Theyve found a system that works for them and are sticking to it. Our players seemed determined to play their own way regardless of what Krueger says. - sanfordnson
Theres no question the Leafs and Oilers will be compared together for years becuase their rebuilds occured at the same time and in very different fashions.
As of right now though, the Leafs are better because of balance at all positions and Burke was way more proactive in searching for players. I mean this is a team that is winning with Lupul, Gardner and Frattin in the infermery.
Reimer and Scivens both appear better thatn Dubnyk.
Kessel is still better than everyone on the Oilers.
So is Phaneuf.
I admit, its enjoyable to watch edm struggle due to the lack of respect their blogger always employs towards the Leafs while using them to drive hits to his blog. I think its called poetic justice. |
