Lowe is the problem. His man love for Hemsky has cost this team.
Defense and goaltending cant win a game if you cant score. Our first line is great. But thats it. Teams are willing to take their chances with line 2 because they know Hemsky will (frank) it up more often than not. The bottom 6 dont scare anyone.
They need to get rid of Hemsky. For anything. Put Gags and Yak with anyone else on the left side and let them come together. Until we have 2 legit lines that can score the first line will get keyed on and every team knows it. Shut down line one, take your chances with the rest. Thats the formula to beat the oilers. - Iggysbff
Signing Hemsky last year was smart, his trade value was low. I agree it's time to move him, but moving him for just anything isn't the answer. |

I disagree about your Hemsky comments. Im not opposed to trading him, but the guy is skilled. He should get a decent return. He is a big reason for their PP stats, he is one of the best on the half boards around. |

Guys give Dubynk a break, he is playing fine. It's our D that is bad. Shultz x2, Petry and Smid should stay, Whitney needs to go, Potter, Peckham. Fistric is good enough to stay, and Klefbom is coming up next year, we'll be fine. Don't put everything on Yakupov, Smyth and Hemsky, they are great players, but Yakupov can't do anything. I agree we need new mangement, we can get Lindi Ruff as a coach, Burke as a GM. etc etc. |

No way in Hell. If the Oilersgave up Hall for OV, I would walk away and never cheer for them again. Luckily Tambi is running this team and not some of the tards here. He may be timid, but at least it keeps him form making stupid moves. - Iggysbff
Well he has to make a move, or this team is (frank)ed. |

Don't forget this is one of Hemsky's best start of the seasons, I think he can keep it up. Well depending on the injury |

Come on.... - Iggysbff
He's getting third line minutes and is being exposed 5 on 5. Last night for example he was burned by kindl at the blueline. Granted it was a weak goal but still you have to admit his defensive game isn't great ... Yet. He is playing with Eric the offensive black hole Belanger. Maybe some seasoning will help in the ahl. I'm thinking long term. Not every top pick has the same development curve. Also the second goal was entirely belangers man but is it that bad of an idea? I wish they would get rid or that stupid ahl chl rule. Just a thought anyways, I'm not saying it's a must, just sparking Convo. I'd strongly consider it if they don't sign better linemates in the summer IMO. |

Sorry Ruty, but EVERYONE knew Hemsky was going to get hurt again. Just a matter of when. Hemsky should have been gone 4 years ago. I've been trying to get rid of him for ages. - Iggysbff[/quote]

How is it the vets who are the problem when their young guns couldn't do better than 18-15 and 4th place in a 5 team division in the AHL?
The problem is no puck support, and a defence that can't make a good first pass to save their life... - skriko_forever
The AHL totally reflects the type of player they are. |

See this is why we get all the tards coming in here saying poop like "you shouldve taken Seguin, Landy, Gally" or whoever over the three firsts. They come to the Oilers, they are the team. The guys going to other teams? They get support and get to play sheltered minutes. You telling me Galchenyuck would be doing any better on the Oil? No (frank)ing way.
Let the kids develop. Yes, they need better quality surrounding them, but its not even remotely as easy to get as everyone on here seems to think. Go get this guy or sign this guy? It doesnt work that way boys. Look at who is even avavilable on the market. And what is the price? Doesnt help the team at all to trade away one of the big 5 for a Clowe or OEL. There are no top pairing D men available or big top 6 wingers.
Guys need to realize things dont just happen because we want them to. That was the WHOLE point of building through the draft. Because guys the Oil want and need, just are not available through trades or free agency. |

What, all 4 of the young guns? Yeah you're right, Eberle scoring 1.5 PPG and J. Shultz leading the league in scoring for a good portion of the season, RNH being hurt and Hall tearing it up. Last time I checked there were 16 other players dressed. |

i don't think he will be happy and okay with it. i think he will jump to khl to play rather than ahl. |

Easy to think with how well the Leafs are doing but they were also in a very different situation. Theyve found a system that works for them and are sticking to it. Our players seemed determined to play their own way regardless of what Krueger says. |

Richard, if the game was 15-0 it wouldn't be Dubnyk's fault. The 0 is key. |

He still has sick hands and the team is better when he is in the lineup. He needs to return something significant otherwise trading him is a step backwards. |

Why not? 2 years wasn't going to hurt us, give him a chance to finally play. His shoulders were finally getting better.
