Winning is simple find a team getting the results you want and copy them. How many teams that play all out wagon burning offense have won the stanley cup recently. It can be turned around , look at the leafs. Play defense it will cost offense. How dare you guys even try and blame goaltending the way you play. Miller ? ya he'll be good enough to get you in the playoffs with that high powered offense but good luck winning the whole thing like that. With all these top first rounders you want the oilers of the 80's. As much as i loved that team that ain't going to happen again. You guys gotta try being more like the blackhawks and look they are playing great offenseilly but not before taking care of thier own end first. I think they would be a great pick to win it all except i think they won't have anything left for the playoffs after this streak.

Agreed, missed the game due to playing hockey tonight but all i need to look at is the score. Pretty sure giving up an average of 30+ shots per game has a lot to do with the coach and his system than the players themselves. Luckily, most of the league is either a couple points away from a playoff spot and a couple points away from last place. At least this year, we will be close to a playoff spot till at least april

Just here in lethbridge, Im an old man in my mid thirties so just beer league. And I do not regret going to hockey and missing the oilers game tonight, done that in the past

Thing about people comparing the Oil of the 80's to today is that, most of those guys were ahead of their time, the dynamic of the league today has changed, people skate and train year round and go to hockey camps from a young age, the worst players in the league today, would kick the crap out of the majority of the players back then. The dominance and Dynasty's of the old days are long gone.

You oilers fans got no place to be pointing fingers right now. lol the leafs have turned the corner and no i"m not cup dellussional. You watch though the leafs are going to make the playoffs and hopefully scare someone in the playoffs and thats without the bennefit of how many 1st over alls. I like the oilers alot and wish them the best. being from just over the border from buffalo let me tell you snap up ruff And get rid of that motivational speaker of a coach you have and fire the manager for hiring him.

Ok whoa, whoa, whoa, lets just get one thing straight, first off, I am happy for you as a fan of the leafs your team is doing well., but does everyone forget that this is 24 games into a lockout shortened season??? This is really around late November in a real season so saying turned a corner might be jumping the gun. Just remember that things are different in a 48 game condensed season. Last year the leafs were in a playoff spot up until the all-star break then fell off the map and finished with a 5th overall pick, and the team that one the cup, was the 8th seed. This is not a season for anyone to model their teams on.

I don't know what your tring to say. the leafs are just doing what they need to do. Whatever the length of the season. What is anybody going to do? should not have been a strike. If what your saying or thinking is true then they should have just cancelled the season. The stanley cup is going to be awarded and ya gotta play under the circumstances regardless the length of the season does not matter. a team like say detroit or chicago is still gonna be a good team and win under whatever circumstances. can't use that as an excuse.

I totally understand though i ripped into julie robinhiemer over an article she wrote on the leafs when she said something i believed to be a slight against the leafs.
