L1. Hall. RNH. Ebs
L2. Maggie/Harti. Gagner. Yaks
L3. Harti/Maggie. Lander/Petrell. Jones
L4. Eager. Petrell/Lander. Brown
D1. Smid. Fistric
D2. Schultz x2
D3. Klef. ?
Now this only works next season after everyone is healthy and Oilers take out the trash and use them to get some quality D, prospects, draft picks or out right buyouts
Smyth is pretty much worthless. Belanger might get a mid level pick to a club that needs a face off guy. Horcs? Not really sure. Hemsky depends on his injury tonight. Potter n Petry not totally sure what to so with them. Do they deserve another season. Whitney is not himself and needs a change. Not sure how to de with everyone else. I know the Oilers wanted to get a you g team and develope them. SO DEVELOPE THEM. Maggie may be the best two way player on the team and every game puts in the most solid game if everyone. Quit screwing him around. Let everyone heal. Give them ice team. Teach them. Stick then in a gym and instead if having a core group of 4-8 guys. Have a core group of 25 |

average age of 23. When do you want the oilers to be good. 2017?
We need proven players and bigger bodies. I agree with MPS staying up with the club. He's fast and he plays a smart game, i just want him to bang more. He needs to stop being a wussy. |

Edm won't win w the management, coach and vets they have. They are all actual losers. Not in the mean way, rather they don't know how to win.
If I'm gm here s what I do to right the ship.
1. Clean house. Everyone is gone. New staff ala Mtl
2. New coach. Sorry but Krueger ain't the answer. Former assistant coaches in ur org never work.
3. Move Dubnyk. Get a goalie in there that can win. Someone somewhat proven and someone who can steal games would help. I'd be all over Ottawa for Anderson, although you'd likely have to send a lot to make it happen. Mike Smith, Jonas Hiller are other options perhaps.
4. Buy out Smyth and Horcoff. Get better leaders that actually lead by example and who aren't losers.
5. Trade one of my stars, likely Hall. Two reasons, it shakes things up, telling these guys losing ain't accepted anymore and no one is safe, and you trade from strength to improve a weakness.
A few other moves here and there of coarse but these are my primary starting points. - SenCity.ca
lolz dude, whether I agree it's time to cut bait with management or not you might want to rethink that statement.
I like that you used the word "actual".
Anyway, worth pondering your point on the assistant coach angle. It makes me almost wish Krueger came in after that fact.

You sound like a leaf fan prior to this year. You can't play well in only one end of the rink. This isn't the 80's and none of your guys are or will be gretzky or for that matter even messier. With all that potential on your team you certainly don't deserve another top 5 pick. What are you islanders NORTH. well that might be going to far as I think oilers fans deserve better. It always takes longer than you think to develop guys so settle down and wait some more I think they'll come along. |

Does this guy not know that K-lowe and mac-t have have how many cups between them????? Not saying I disagree with the management change opinion, just to call them losers cause they don't know how to win seems to be a bit shortsighted, narrow minded and down right pedestrian. |

' The Oilers are the worst team in the league. '
No, they are not. Florida is worse, and so too is Colorado. Hell, I would put Buffalo at being worse. Columbus I will not, they are a better team than their record reflects.
Smyth- was done last yr. Why he is still in the league is beyond me.
Dubnyk- the ONLY FREAKING REASON the Oil are not in the playoff position now. The team as constructed now, with an established #1, would be a playoff team. Though, this was the concern from the first puck drop.
Here is my question- could they trade for Ryan Miller? And if so, what would the Oil fans be willing to give up? If you ask me, now would be the time to strike, with Miller not having a Vezina yr. - FLflames34
