its confusing that your STAR player Kesel seems to have less goals than the non-star or WAS a star Iggy and only 2 more points.....

Our star is Kadri. Thanks.

That would be nice. But if SJ wanted a center in return buh bye Kelly.

Lucic-J.Thornton-Horton
Marchand-Bergeron-Seguin
MacDermid-Krejci-High Glass Peverly
Breakaway Paille- Campbell - S.Thorton

Is how I would go. GO ahead an kill me for dropping Krejci the guy is not a top liner IMO too inconsistent and right now the Bergeron line should not be touched.

- glove_was_stuck

I would be ok with dropping Krejci, I'm not sure San Jose would want Kelly. He hasn't been playing well and has years still remaining on his contract. They already have a Chris Kelly type in Handzus. I would offer Knight, Subban and a 1st doubt that gets it done but you never know

Haha "An aging player out west." If it's a RUMOR, which you claim it is, give us the name. Why is there a problem with giving us the name of the player? Oh, because it's not true and you need hits?

i had this argument with some ppl in here last year about how inconsistant and overated Krejci is so its nice to see you Bs fans are finally seeing it too

I agree Kelly alone would not get that done. I meant if they wanted a center in return as part of a deal. I like Kelly and I think he'll come around but not at that price and contract length. Krejci belongs on this team IMO but not on the "top"(as Claude insists they're is no top) line.

Been seeing it for the past few seasons. I like the guy. But he is not a #1 center and Boston has the ULTIMATE second line pivot in Bergeron.

if we really want to make an impact trade and NOT remove anyone from the NHL roster, all of our best prospects are in play. and lets be honest, none are that exciting.
- Fountain-San

No doubt, pure rentals aren't really PC's MO though and anyone high ticket is bound to be that. I'm not a huge fan of the deadline rental as it's pretty rare that they wind up equalling playoff success.

There's not any superstars in the group so certainly none are untouchable but I'd just rather not see a big chunk of the prospect pool moved for a guy whose only going to be around for a month or two.

the Bs should consider Ray Whitney though

I was hoping they'd scoop him up in UFA.

That would be a treat. Not hiring Ruffm is PROOF the Oilers brass are idiots... until they do, and then giving up on Krueger in favour of their 5th coach in 6 years is PROOF the Oilers locker room has problems.

I don't think I would trade Spooner, Knight, or Koko in a package for Iginla. Iginla would definitely help right now but he will walk this summer, not worth those prospects. I would do a 1st, Caron and maybe a third asset
- fudd1689

1st/Caron/Subban? Not a bad package, certainly in line with what a guy like Kovalchuk fetched.

I'd probably do that. Fan of all 3 of those guys, would rather see a pick instead of one of Spooner/Camara.

Yeah I don't think there's any doubt that Krejci is a low end #1 / high end #2 guy. I don't think anyone would argue he's among the elite #1 centers in the league, but he'll put up a consistent 60+ points on a balanced team which would slot him as a 1B/2A sort of guy.

Yeah, especially because yesterday he wrote
"I post rumors and I don't give my opinions on them. I know the rumors I post which will get killed for being ridiculous, and I know the ones that will likely never happen, but I learned long ago my job is to find them, report them without prejudice, and then get the hell out of the way. "

couldnt agree more, Krejci isnt a bad player at all, he's just not suited for what ppl have expected of him in the past, Bergeron is a beast! he's the only reason i can never completely hate the Bs, the guy rarely makes a mistake

i'd put Bergeron 3rd in top 2 way centers in the league right behind Toews and Datsyuk (as for Kesler...who knows if he'll ever be the same)

Soooooo, that's a no then?

Seriously, though, I would consider Spooner a 1st and a 3rd asset.

I agree with that. Datsyuk still got it and looking like he could another ageless wonder in a few years. Toews is just filthy right now along with that whole team.

I think taking that pressure off of him would help his game.
