If lou could manage a move that was cheap and didn't cost us Clarkson and Elias this offseason i guess Heatley wouldn't be terrible. But I hate the (frank)er.

In the 2006-07 season that Elias had the captaincy, the Devils had 49 wins and 107 points, winning the Atlantic. It was Patrik's first full year season back after being out with hepatitis. If you recall that shortened seasoned he played when he came back, he was an absolute beast, 45 points in 38 games. And the year before that 81 points. The mere 69 points he scored in 06-07 was sort of looked at as a disappointment by Brent Sutter (as was the playoff upset) and he was stripped of the captaincy. It seems like Elias continues to harbor bad blood about it and he'd rather just not deal with having it. He knows he's an integral part of the team and its history, so what's the difference.

Why do I get the feeling you're an idiot?

That's not what being results based means.

We've been changing players in the line up left and right. we won a single game and you're going to say the changes to the line up are the reason why we won rather than analyzing the process of what happened. The result was a win and that's all your looking at rather than how we got to that win. You looked at one variable rather than all of them. This is why you're dumb.

In a job setting you can get good results but still lose your job if you're a big of a poop to everybody. Hence why being results based isn't good.
