Interesting. How did that debate shake out?
- EKolb13

Undecided but lotta votes for Buddy Guy, B.B. King, and others. Better to enjoy them all and not worry about crowning one. We all hate John Mayer though!

Sharpie separated shoulder, Bollig recalled, blues on PBS sparked best blues guitarist debate, and some more of the same other stuff, mostly.

Speaking of the Rock, did anyone else see the Ice Hogs' version of 12 days of Xmas ? My kid found it on YouTube. Shaw and Bollig are hilarious.

Chicago's Patrick Sharp has a fairly severe AC joint shoulder separation. Three weeks out likely the minimum. Could be a month.

I think AV is a jagoff, but I have to say that it always seems like the Nucks fans are always the most radical and least stable on these boards. Like they are always looking to implode their team or blame every one else. So they get a new coach. They'll just have some one else to blame for their inevitable losses. Window is closing fast for the sisters and company.

Seems like just yesterday people on here were doing the exact same thing. Funny what a win streak will do.

Bob McKenzie on who should be the MVP at this point in the season, he said Kane though Hossa and 'Craw-mery' deserve consideration too.

For rookie of the year he said Huberddeu or Cory Conacher and Brandon Saad should be in the mix.

For coach of the year Quenneville and Buodreau warrant consideration but he would choose Paul McLean.

I'm beating a dead horse here but the MVP of the team is Toews, I still don't understand any other arguments.

Toews is doing what he always has done, nothing more nothing less! We know how great he is. But looking from an outsiders perspective Kane has risen his game from what we have seen before, on both sides of the rink

I'm with ya Bogie...garbage hit. The Panther color guy is nutz...and wrong.

That is the exact hit the league wants out of the game. You could split hairs and argue that the hit could have been higher...a direct noggin' shot...but it was still too da*n high.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the point of contact/checking to seperate the puck from a player who possesses the puck? With the exception being the ever popular "finishing your check", where a player follows thru with contact moments after the puck is passed.

These blind side noggin' shots have got to go...bigger fines and longer suspensions until the lessons are learned.

Kane is still bad defensively, I think that is pretty clear. Just because he isn't as abysmal as last year doesn't mean he is good at it. But I think your point is that the national media likes the narrative behind Kane? You're probably right, but I think its stupid. Moot point anyway because is Crosby is going to win (deservedly so).

Kane always seems to be back checking hard this year and he seema to start the breakout a lot. Doesnt he lead the team in take aways ?

I don't think there is much about Kane's game that can be critisized this year. Sometimes when he is circling and dangling with the puck near the blueline in the offensive zone I grip the arms on my chair a little tighter but he seems to know what he can and cannot get away with, and unlike previous years he will ... sometimes ... dump the puck deep if he has no play.

MVP is decided by points whether we like it or not. Go look at the last 10-12 years and try and find one Hart trophy winner that wasn't at least top 3 in league scoring. (Edit - forwards only obviously)

True. Toews may never win it then but I'll take a Selke as a consolation!

I don't understand why you need to know what the injury is! If a player is coming back from a concussion do you think someone is not going to try and hit him as hard as he can to see if he can knock him back out of the game? No need to give the enemy any ammo!!!
- moots

Do you think anyone in the LEAGUE doesn't know what the injuries really are?

If Ryan Getzlaf is worth 8.25 mil plus Toews next deal starts at 12.5 million!
