its a mistake to play boulton just because Haley is playing. Martin..Finley..Macdonald can dance with Haley if need be.... Haley is not as good of a fighter now that he is sober...he is still a tough SOB pound for pound but he has had his ass handed to him a few times this year..which is something i have not seen before - NYI78
i dont care that boulton is in...i care a lot more that ullstrom is out. he is actually pretty chippy player. bench reasoners ass. |

Agreed...a decent center could make very good use of the speed on the wings with Ullstrom and Grabner. Clearly Reasoner's not that guy. |

Haley's already up, they brought him up for the Philly game. Dont see how picking up Hamrlik is a laughable event, he fits a need with Staal out of the lineup indefinitely. Not your worst Dee, but still awful. Dont quit that day job. - steponmytoe
Hamrlik is still better than most of our defensemen....that doesn't mean he's good....just saying.... |

Touché, I am surprised that Snow not only let a first rounder get past him on the waiver wire, but a former 1st overall to boot. He must have been making Wang a pot of tea. - IslesGal

I haven't been so pumped for a game in a long time. We beat the Rags and we take a playoff spot (for now atleast). Is HNL on tonight? |

If Richards plays, Haley wont, and same goes for isles.....
dont mind Boulton if Haley is in line-up, bc both dont do anything anyway.
management probably doesnt want Martin to dance unless he has to, and Finley towers over Haley, so that wont happen..... - Ur Not Me
Haley scored a couple pretty goals for us two years ago. He has a lot more potential to have an actual affect on the game than Boulton does. |

The problem they had last time is they went to sleep for the first half of period two, or else they'd have beaten us easily. Going to guess that Lundqvist is playing, which we were lucky enough to avoid last time. All I can say to Isles fans is this: watch the Rag$ play when they are playing well. That's how our team needs to play- everyone in their correct spot in the shooting and passing lanes, ACTUALLY block shots instead of just screening the goaltender (or tipping the puck into your own net), be patient and take advantage of mistakes. You know.....DEFENSE.
We can get all excited about the last couple of games, but Ottawa is beat up, Montreal was playing above their station, and Toronto is cr*p. When tonight's opponent is playing well, they are one of the top four or five teams in the league. We're going to have to have some discipline and patience to beat them. Unlike some of the rest of you, I'll put our offensive talent up there with anyone, including them, but the pond hockey is going to have to go, or else games against good teams will continue to be disastrous. This is why I'd fire the coach and replace him with Lindy Ruff right now, but unfortunately, I'm not the guy with the money... |

Sure, it is a shortened season, but this really is the most important Rangers-Islanders game played this late in the season in a longtime. I really think tonight can be barnburner type game. |

We have a better offensive team than them. Outside of Gaborik and Nash they have nothing. It is our defensive play that's atrocious. |

I think we should have let Martin deal with the extra-curricular stuff (assuming there will be any) and kept Ullstrom in for Eric "Plays two minutes a game and doesn't know what to do with the puck" Boulton |

Gaborik always (frank)s us over and then is seemingly invisible when he doesn't play us. |

Chill, Jim, watching a decade of Islander hockey can make you grouchy.

Wait people are still whining about Dees comments about Nash? Get over it. If I had a dollar for the The amount of times I heard rags fans trash our players injured or not. Anyways here it goes the Rangers suck... |
