At least it feels like the rivarly is starting to come back a bit. I guess that's what happens when both teams are hoping to grab that 8th spot at the midway point in the season. |

Did the Isles inquire about O'Reilly at all? He would seem to be the perfect fit in that he is big, two-way center that can take the body. And you have the assets to get a deal like that done.

I agree with your earlier point about the D, Mick. Maybe not so much the big bruiser types, but what that team really needs is a couple of hardnosed defensemen that can skate, blog shots, and serve as shutdown guys. Maybe Griffin Reinhardt is one, and maybe you can use system assets to acquire another. That team has all of the organizational assets necessary to win soon.

I agree with your earlier point about the D, Mick. Maybe not so much the big bruiser types, but what that team really needs is a couple of hardnosed defensemen that can skate, blog shots, and serve as shutdown guys. Maybe Griffin Reinhardt is one, and maybe you can use system assets to acquire another. That team has all of the organizational assets necessary to win soon.
