He is a good third liner as is Frans. Both are miscast in my honest opinion. Neither are game changers. I have many Ranger fan friends who act like the kid is the next Drury(in his good days).
- mighty13duck

Stepan is still only 22 years old, has a 51 point season already is centering the number 1 line of the Rangers.

You guys always plead with us not to buy players and build from within, be happy for us

Stupid. She was an idiot for writing what she did but isn't this all a bit exaggarated at this point. "wars" are getting started

I know I've been over it for a while yet some can't let it go. Hell we even had their blogger come by and tell us it was wrong to talk about a player from a team you aren't playing....um.....DP?

Derek Stepan > Josh Bailey. Both are the same age and taken in the same draft. I'd much rather have stepan. But that's just me.
- tomburton99

Well Bailey sucks....

I am going to invent a time machine that can go back and take away Trottier and Bossy from the Islanders.

And buy some apple stock while I am there

OK. Once again you're completely missing or I'm beginning to realize avoid the point of the original post. I'm not disagreeing with your thought process now but if it was you(not sure and honestly don't care at this point) who was involved with this with mightyduck then you are another Ranger fan discrediting your original point WHICH WAS that the RANGERS ARE a playoff team without Lundquist and Nash. Mightyduck scoffed at it. Someone called him an idiot. That is the argument . So NOW you are saying they are'nt a playoff team without them?

Lol. Frans is a 3rd liner. Stepan is a top 6 forward. With a hot mom and a hot sister

Wow...tough time seeing that! I'd go as far as to say they might struggle without Henrik period. Put DP in there and see how far they go!

Tough loss last night. I'm interested in seeing how they come out tomorrow against the Caps. Tomorrow's game is huge. I'm curious to see if this team can bounce back after a tough loss. Win tomorrow and they are right back in the thick of things.

Cap are coming off a huge comeback against the Bruins and a thrashing of the Panthers. It will be a good test.

So why are you comparing them? Perhaps you should be comparing Stepan to Tavares....that would make more sense. You new to this game we call hockey son?
