You just said that the Rangers would be competing for 1st overall without Nash and Lundqvist. That statement was pure crap.
- Pete V

Anyone not in the playoffs gets a shot at number one overall. How is that statement pure crap? You honestly think you make the playoffs without those guys?

Now you guys are depressing me. Eddie stylized an entire generation. As did jimi.

I hear you. Like I said, I don't doubt his ability at all. Just don't feel it with Eddie's guitar work. Little Wing by Hendrix? Range of emotion in a short little song. Eddie? His work is there, it's efficient and it's very skillful...but kind of like a Terminator in the feeling department to me.

Mechanical? Yeah, Hendrix is a bad barometer though.

I'll take the cliche for range 'Stairway' which has been voted greatest song of all time and Guitar World's greatest solo of all time. For guitar orchestration give me Achilles Last Stand

True...just pointing out why I like one and not really the other. But on the point of feeling, even less transformational players...Gilmour, or on the harder side even Cantrell...a guitarist I'd never put on the same level as Eddie ability-wise...I get more out of their guitar work personally.

Listen as an Isles fan I know we are not exactly a playoff team just yet. With that said I do not get the whole "rangers are a much better team." In reality they are offensively challenged and are only as good as Nash and Lundqvist. Without them they are competing for number one overall.
- mighty13duck

Think montreal is a playoff team this season? Their record indicates it, yet the Islanders have beaten them twice.

Give the Rangers a little credit for not having two key players, in their lineup and still finding a way to win against a team that always gives their maximum effort against them.

Without Quick the Kings are dead in the water, especially last year. What is your point?

The Penguins make the playoffs without Crosby and Malkin?

Instead of breaking down each team's top two players and the odds that those teams would make the playoffs, without them, I will just leave it at this: your point is pointless.

I love Page and Led Zep...but they took a hit for me when I saw that thing on how many old songs they just entirely ripped off without giving any credit...it's a good number of their biggest hits. Took me a while before listening to them again, but I'm over it now. Still though...look some of it up if you haven't. It takes a good part of the creativity out of it when you lift lyrics and riffs directly, improve on it, and pass it all off as your own without acknowledging where it came from.
