Also, you want a real stat?

Gaborik and Nash are being payed a combined $15M+ for 14 goals total between the two of them. John Tavares gets payed $5.5M and guess how many goals he has. 14.

- NYIDRIVE4FIVE

Wrong again.

Tavares make 4 million.

Hard to have an intelligent conversation with you as you don't always seem to get your facts straight.

I never disparaged nor questioned the talent of Tavares.
The kids is on his way to superstardom.

Gaborik has scored 40 or more goals in 3 seasons and 30 or more 7 times in his injury plagued career. He has 331 career goals. He just turned 31

Nash scored 41 his second year in the league and has has scored 40 or more twice and 30 or more 7 times. He has 296 career goals and is but 28 years of age.

They are being paid for what they have done and what they will do.

You may know him as Goldie at the Coliseum

A West Hempstead man was arrested on charges he forcibly touched a female in the Nassau Coliseum parking lot after the Islanders game on Sunday night.

According to detectives, a 21-year-old victim was standing outside the Uniondale-based Coliseum with friends when Craig Stanley, 54, allegedly approached the group and proceeded to touch the victim in an inappropriate manner.

Stanley is charged with Forcible Touching and is scheduled to appear on March 19 at First District Court in Hempstead.

Capgeek has him at $5.5 so I would check your facts before your next condescending douchey response.

so I check in to see the comments before the game tonight and see whole lot of wasted time and complete crap. Blogger wars? Salary comparisons?

I thought this was for discussing the Isles game tonight. Not a bunch of useless twatwaffling about who's blogger is better or who's fans will "storm the message board" on command.

Less sand in vag and grow up.

JT make $4 this year(which just makes his point stronger) $5 next and $6 from there on out but it does get old hearing about how great nash and gaborik are when we have 3 guys with equal or more points and 3 guys with more goals, and aside from JT, they get no respect like the red headed step child of MSG (no offense to red headed step children)

Nope, fellas, Downeaster's right. Wang deals strictly in back-loaded contracts. Tavares makes $4M this year, and it goes up afterward...averages out for a cap hit of $5.5M

Brutally honest, couldn't give a crap about the Nash thing. Think the main thrust was don't make a comment about another team's player if your team isn;t playing that opponent, but in general and in this case, has little impact on me.
- airjan23

Meh, it was in poor taste. It's expected from Dee at this point. After all she said it was the fans fault the Islanders sucked, she does'nt have many friends on here. In fact i don't think she has many friends at all. Minus of course Garth Snow, Wang, and Bruno Gervais. I think a few of my fellow Isles fans got a little pissed with the jabbing earlier, they came in late. Whatever, it was funny.

Harsh yes. Not horrible, tho. I truly hope Staal recovers fully. Any fan or team would have him in a heartbeat. He's a ranger I find no fault with. But I hope he learns a lesson and wears a shield from here on. Even if it effects his performance a little, so what. I think over 80% of all players wear them. If it makes him more susceptible to injury without it, then he's suffering from the ME-first mentality. His injury could have been avoided. No one will question his toughness or anything else if he does put it on.

Let's face it. All else being equal, the Islanders are always going to play second fiddle to the Rangers in the media market, because the Rangers are the Original 6 team in Manhattan. There is no use worrying about that if your an Islander fan. If the Islanders eventually win, they will get their respect.

The Islanders are already chalked full of young talent, and Ryan Strome is another excellent young player on the way. If they could just hit on a couple of defensive prospects they could really move towards being a contender.

By the same token, the Rangers are positioned well to. It could be several fun years of Rangers-Islanders hockey.

They will and they did. Guess you're a bit younger than me? You could'nt give away a Ranger ticket thirty years ago and you could offer your first born for an Islander ticket and get turned down, how quick we forget.

Tavares make $5.5 avg per year. I'm late on this one.

Anyways. If you want to go with stats, Moulson produces a lot more points and goals then Nash. It's not a knock on Nash but Moulson is a better point and goal producer and makes less than half of Nash

nothing would make all of us happier than the rangers and isles playing a playoff series against each other. I don't know how close this team is but I'm hoping it happens within the next couple years.

I do not disagree but when your on the other side of the fence it gets tiresome and hopefully we can both be competative in the upcoming years....but fighting for the 1 seed not the 8th
