Just me or was the audio feed horrible on the Pronger press conference?

It started out terribly on the website but it stopped freezing about 10 minutes in for me.

Ha! No, not at all. It just seems like every time the dude gets hurt, they find someway to get him out there playing. It speaks to the fact that the guy wants to be out there very badly.

Grossmann is quickly becoming one of my favorites. He really surprised me how well he played last season and he's played like a beast for us. If they do buyout Briere, Grossmann may grace my new jersey... Talk about a philosophy shift!

Yeah. They got a lot more pop sounding, less raw.
- Jsaquella

the 1st roth era was a load of fun, but dave wanted to keep up the touring schedule and eddie wanted to cut back somewhat...at least, that's what i heard from dave.

Situation remains the same, he's just trying to get healthy. He was in good spirits, ribbed with the media like he always has.

Eddie Van Halen. He sang when they were a trio. They started out wanting to be Cream
- Jsaquella

There is only one power trio. Others have tried to duplicate Cream, but no one has come close. The only thing that prevents them from being the best band of all time is longevity. (66-68) not quite long enough of a run.

Jack Bruce is such an underrated musician. One of the best bassists of all time. His vocals are amazing too. Not to mention he was one of the best cellists who ever lived. Baker is a monster on the skins, and Clapton is GOD.

When I saw them in 2005 at MSG for two shows, I was in awe.

I thoroughly enjoyed his antics. Some of the later questions were pretty dopey, essentially telling him how they think he should feel in the form of a question.

That was part of it, the other part is the way they did the studio stuff. Ted Templeman was dictatorial in the studio, and Eddie's side projects with Quincy Jones and Brian May gave him an itch to do deeper stuff in the studio, make things more polished.

I wish they'd do some sort of intermission segment with him regularly. Maybe re-introduce Coatsey's Corner featuring co-host Pronger. Now that would be entertainment.

Cream is fantastic.

A lot of people think Eddie was a devotee of Hendrix, with the tapping and feedback, but his idol was Clapton.

Yes, Hendrix is unreal. Self taught on a right handed guitar. Guy couldn't read a note of music. The night Hendrix died, Clapton went to see him to deliver a left handed strat, which he never got to do.

Clapton after hearing Hendrix for the first time in a London club, cried on his cab right back to his flat, because he knew he would never be able to play as good as Hendrix did. In interviews now when Clapton is asked a question about Jimi, he won't answer it because it gets him too upset.

There's this band called Hanson...

Can anyone name the original female singer of Faith No More?

EVH is a wonderful guitarist. Fantastically talented. Different style than Clapton. Clapton's roots are from Jazz/Blues Muddy Watters, BB King, Robert Johnson, Robert Cray are some of Clapton's idols.

No one has ever referred to Eddie as Slowhand...
