It must be the competition to become the king of the douche bags.

I coach at a school that plays in their conference and that rivalry gets nasty...as well as a few others, fairfield county gives you a little bit of everything....fun as all hell...

Yes they do and the sports programs are still the best in the state...the schools up north don't like us very much...

I don't coach hockey but a game in which the object is exactly the same...my dad came over form Italy and couldn't find a damn soccer game on to watch so he watched the next closest thing which is ice hockey and got hooked on the Rangers beginning in 1981...and if I remember correctly we made a semi-final run and got beat by the Isles right? Sweep? I remember playing STL and LA in the playoffs but I don't remember if it was that same year....

Same thing with my dad, except that he immigrated to North America through Montreal, so he still has some Hab loyalties.

Both of my daughters play soccer. They are 7 and 9 years old, and it is amazing how intense their games can get, especially the older one's games.

It's huge in Michigan. Every kid plays, and it is amazing how good they can get at a young age. The parents can be a little unhinged though. Travel hockey is also huge. Baseball, not so much.

Want to really get pissed off? A Isles fan on they're thread right now actually is implying Dee is a better blogger because she posted a nice piece of garbage blog first thing this morning & Jan didn't.

So we're gonna judge a blogger on the frequency of when that blogger gets one up earlier in the morning than another? Good heavens.

my response that I just posted: a few things, I am up early and drive an hour plus to Stamford daily, which doesn;t always allow me to post a new blog early in the AM. 2) I like reading all the comments posted and incorporating/touching on some of the points made, which is why I don't always post one early in the AM. 3) I am male not a female. 4) Comments about my religion from my usual readers are taken with a grain of salt as I know usually they are kidding and I have a thick skin. From others, depends on the comment. I am sorry if the later posts mean that I am an inefficient, ineffectual and secondary type blogger compared to others, but I think those who read and comment daily would disagree.

Jan, you're ok. You give us a healthy number of posts and unlike that twit that covers the 2nd rate team, you actually get involved with the on going conversation. You take your reglious faith seriously, no problem. If the Sabbath doesn't allow you to posts on certain days, so be it.

Yeah, luck not on his side. Both injuries have come at time when he was playing really well. Especially this season, no doubt he's been the rangers best Dman this year. And some people actually want to trade him.

23 blogs in January, 21 in February and 6 so far in March. I guess I can just toss a short blog with a few lines daily but what's the point in that. Plus, the conversations here seem to work better when I let them marinate and process through for a while

Jan, seriously stop. Why are you even attempting to justify yourself because some jackwagon took a shot at you? I actually find it really impressive how many blogs you still post after being at this for so long. You're a true pro!

Jan, I may not comment much but I have been on this site for a few years now and read all the blogs on here or as many as I can. The way the Rangers blog works is great. You don't have to justify anything to anyone, especially to some clueless fans and blogger from another team's thread.

nothing to do with anything, just looked up a mock 2006 draft from TSN.

We were lucky to get Sanguinetti and Anisimov where we got them according to this:

Hey don't mean to intrude, but thought I would share with you what one of your enlightened fellow posters (*****myswe*tybawls) felt compelled to share with us on the Sens thread:

" I hoped Karlsson got injured by a skate blade in last year's playoffs, too bad it took this long to come true but I'm still satisfied."

In other news, hope Staal is ok.

Why even dignify that? To wish an injury let alone a career or life threatening one is beyond contempt.
