Saw this on carps message board...got a chuckle out of it...
When JT Miller scores: “It’s Miller Time”
When Roman Hamrlik scores: “It’s Hamr Time”
When Brian Boyle scores: “It’s a miracle” - Blueshirts4ever
not sure we'll really have to worry about either of these scenarios |

Just getting the feeling Nash is going to score every night....loved Hank's comments the other night about it being so nice to have someone as talented as #61...in other words its nice that I don't have to be perfect every damn night for us to win... |

yeah, I am so lucky my commute to work is from Farmingdale to Melville, just straight up 110. Very thankful yo. - jimbro83
Try driving to Stamford from Merrick daily. That snow storm in early Nov, took me 3 1/2 hours to get home |

Interesting, just read we have 49 contracts now. if Zuccs comes back thats 50. Any move at the deadline would require moving a contract. |

I know, I was thinking about this after Brooks mentioned it.
We aren't really in a position to be making any 2 for 1 trades either with our depth or lack there of.

Boyle and a pick/prospect for a better 3rd line player (or center). |

possible
I have to give credit to Boyle for going 11-2 on faceoffs vs Flyers the other night with Richards out of lineup.
I will always give credit where credit is due. |

More like we'd be tossing in a minor leaguer to make it work. That happens quite a bit. But still adds a wrinkle cause a team can be a Richard and want a decent one knowign they have to get a player for it to work. |

He was good on faceoffs last year too... atleast hes doing that, its a pretty important (and underrated) thing. |

Boyle has proven to be a real streaky player. He has some periods of really bad play (as we have see throughout this year), but also has some periods where he can be really effective. He has really worn on my patience this year, however, in that he is trainwreck offensively and with the puck. |

Someone is going to find value in him and we can flip the pick we get in a package for a player. Someone out west will view him as the 3rd line center they need. |

Why not just flip him for a player? If you think you need more defense (obviously depending on what is going on with Staal), you can flip him in a deal for a Ryan Whitney, Ian White, Robin Reghyr, Doug Murray, Michael Rozsival type. And there are probably countless forwards that will be available, so maybe he moves in forward-forward type deal.
Or, if money or contract limits aren't a concern, keep him and throw him on the fourth line (although with the cap crunch next year, I think the Rangers may try to shed his $1.8 million). |

Because then you are limited and a contending team doesn't want to part with a player and a sellign team does no want Brian Boyle or won't pay up. Let's say the Hawks could use him. Who of valeu are we takign from them? Nothing. But you get a pick and flip it to a seller, add a 3rd we own, and you get a good player back. Redwings and TB were involved in something similar 2 seasons ago with Quincy and a 1st rounder. |

Makes sense to me. Although I would mind moving him and another asset to the Sharks for Ryan Clowe. I think the Rangers are going to run into some stiff competition for Clowe, however, if they really want him. |

Rangers are probably more interested in rentals. Clowe is definitely no rental, as much as Id like to have him, we would have to pony up something good for him. Some combo of Thomas, Lindberg, Fasth... picks... and Boyle, at the very least. |

I know he's struggling but to me, if he can be last year Dubi I'm ok with that and think he'd fit perfectly. Sure he isn't scoring anymore for whatever reason, but if he can provide that type of role for us he'd be a great fit, and maybe he begins to pot one here or there. |

I would love for the Rangers to make a deal with the Sharks for Clowe and Murray, I think they both would fit in real well here. Also, in the past when ive seen Brenden Morrow play ive thought he would also be a good player to acquire for how the Rangers play. To be honest I'm not sure how well he's doing this year but I'm pretty sure he's going to be a UFA after this year (could be wrong) and could fit in well. |
