Last season after TDL you were calling me Debby Downer for warning everyone that this team would suffer in the scoring department after not replacing Hoff, Samuelsson and Cody... welcome to reality. - boonerbuck
A Det fan was on the board earlier saying the Canuck could have him—apparently he's not making any fans over there.

To be fair, it started well before TDL. About the All Star game our offense went south
If I was a betting man I would say Raymond is the best bet to stay. The Canucks have shown far to much patience with him. Raymond also excepted a "rollback" this season. I presume he gets 2.5-3 - Bieksa#3
I agree, Raymond will resign before the deadline, or have a gentleman's agreement to do so after the playoffs (if there are any...)
Revisit last season. Booth for Sammy and say a 4th? - Bieksa#3
I wouldn't make any rash changes (trades) during the season, we have until the end of training camp September 2013 to get down to the proposed $64m cap for next year, there is plenty of time in the summer to get there.

Not a Purcell fan. Booth and 2nd for Torres and vermette? - Bieksa#3
We could use both of those guys for sure, but my suggestion to acquire them was based on Kesler being moved to the wing, which obviously isn't happening with AV at the helm. I honestly can't even fathom a trade that would make this team a contender with Kesler hog-tying the 2nd line offensively.
I agree, but it still affects their value, whether it's a product of the coach, and not of their actual ability.
And, again, what the hell do you have against Purcell? Sounds like it's something personal. Not sure why you'd call a guy a pillow biter, just because he's not physical.
The guy's stats might be a bit inflated for a few reasons, but he's still a very good passer. - Fosco
I'm not a Purcell fan either I would rather give a Brett Connelly a shot in a third line position.
I never once said last year when we were discussing it. Why dont you show me where I once said 2010 in my argument with you in regards to Bieksa. I provided evidence on the trade discussion based on the year I was referring to and we moved on. Well I thought we did. But I guess you haven't. - Bluechip23
BX3 is big on these these kind of accusations. I've called him on it twice in the last three days and a number of times in the last year. Not once has he admitted being mistaken... even when I was backed up by other posters. He doesnt like Bieksa critcism and seems to never forget the culprits.

Overall, I'd prefer Connelly, as well, but if AV insists on keeping Kesler at center, that line needs a winger that can distribute the puck, and Purcell is a top6 puck-moving winger—there really aren't too many out there...

I've admitted being wrong many times on here. Why is it when ever somebody shares a different opinion then you then you call them down.
Were you present for negotiations, or are you assuming this because the media describes his role in the management structure as such? Personally, I haven't seen Gillis/Gilman pull off anything miraculous. Their UFA "gets" have all begged to come here & taken less to make it happen. Guys re-sign here because the franchise philosophy is everyone has to take a little less to build a perrennial contender... What exactly has he done to be labeled a cap/negotiating wiz? Knowing the CBA better than Feaster isn't enough to qualify... That would make all of us wizzes. - DrChristianTroy
He's able to get all Gillis' poopty contracts under Cap when it seems very unlikely. Thats worth something. If he had the power to just dump a contract he didnt like then it would probably be his first course of becoming cap compliant but thats Gillis job.

To be fair, Gillis's good contracts make the job a bit easier, as well.
