Bergevin needs to get active. nothing major, but a but a bit of robustness/grit. those guys are always available at the deadline and come pretty cheaply. i think adding one or two guys like that can't hurt. though Therrien seems pretty married to Armstrong and Moen. not bad players but there's no edge to their game, and if Montreal is going to stay in the top half of the conference and be a hunted team, they'll need a bit more edge.

i'm not too sure who's out there. there are the obvious names like Clowe and Morrow but they'll likely be too expensive, and i think the aim should be someone who can stay with the team for the next year or two.

i never saw Armstrong as a tough guy, even in his Pittsburgh days. i knew him as a guy who absolutely smoked players when they were in vulnerable positions and chipped in 15 goals. and of course, the beak...
