Can't give away two and a half periods to complete disinterest like they did last night. That was a very beatable opponent and they didn't even show up. - nfph

You're probably right with the kid goaltender they should have been beatable, but Carolina is a much better team than us in my opinion.

well, the Sabre fan wondered if Kaleta's suspension would be extended because Marc Staal got hit directly by a puck on the eyeball, who knows if he'll see again. Hank the Ranger fan accused him of having a mental problem with a comment like that, and your only warning went to the Ranger fan.
I am not going to complain to anyone about it, just wondering WTF - jimbro83
I remember being one of the only people who said they wanted the Sabres to take a run at signing Semin in the off season. Almost everyone said he was a huge defensive liability. He happens to be a point per game player and a +17 this season. With 23 points that means in even strength situations that he has only been on the ice for 6 goals against in 22 games. I wish we had several defensive liabilities like him on our team.

peters looked pretty good, was tracking the puck well and moving well. - Putzfrau
for the part of the game i saw he really didn't look bad.. but he saw pretty much every shot all the way to him... i thought his movement was a little choppy but it was effective and he moved with the puck. we really should have had more goals. i can't believe we let a goalie that is in his second NHL game see every shot without distractions.
He has 5 pp points, so one goal against. - dadeadhead
but is that because of him or is it because of his linemates and probably typically drawing the other teams top defenders and not their top goal scorers.. teams don't really give too much of a crap about line matching against buffalo

We've had small pockets of success for sure, some things to build around. - nfph
CH is almost a PPG guy with zero PP points. That is something to build on. I fear that HPV line won't be intact much longer though, with contracts expiring and all.
