I'd like to see how many points Tanev would have if he got 4 mins per game of PP time like Edler does. He's the slickest cheekiest passer we've had on the back end in as long as I can remember... Instead, they put an extra forward high on the 1st unit with Edler and that forward is usually doing (frank) all.
I just stuck up for Edler, but he should have more than 12points for the role he plays on this team. - DrChristianTroy
While I will agree he needs a shot on the PP I think AV is trying to get Garrison and ED going instead of playing the hot hand. Has it hurt us? I have a had time finding logic in a lot of things he(AV) does. Some work some don't. Lately most don't. Seeing players playing well and then put back on a forth line or sitting in the press box is really starting to get to me. I just don't understand?? |

How can you claim how many points a player should or shouldn't have?
I agree he's on a mini slump, but I think part of it has to do with the overall inneffectiveness of the pp, which isn't strictly Edler's fault.
I agree, though, that Tanev should get some PP time. |

If he truly wants to get Edler or Garrison going, he'd put a guy like Tanev out there to set the ball on the tee for them. That doesn't really fit what the first unit does... But I have no idea why the 2nd unit isn't BOMBS AWAY.
PP Units should be:
Sedin/Sedin - side wall QB & behind the net (cycle)
Burrows - net presence
Bieksa - sets up on LD
Edler - sets up on RD
Schroeder - side wall QB
Raymond - rover
Kassian/Booth - net presence
Tanev - Garrison's caddy
Garrison - BOMBS AWAY |

Garrison - BOMBS AWAY - DrChristianTroy I agree, other then when healthy kesler replaces burrow. And Burrows to replace Kassian/booth

Totally agree with this. Prefer Kassian over Booth for the net presence, but AV can always roll with the hot hand. |

Sounds like only the top pick is available via lottery, so finishing in 9th (conference) gives you a 0.5% chance of the #1 pick, and if you don't get it, you draft 14th. So if you are going to miss the playoffs, you better miss big! |

Why separate 3 guys with mind boggling chemistry on the PP? I've never understood why they do that. Sedin Sedin Burrows run show 5 on 5... They would absolutely OWN THE ZONE 5 on 4. Plus Burrows provides the best net presence on the team. |

Isn't the odds this yr and rules the same as past yrs. New rules start in 2014 I thought? |

Dunno, the article says that this coming draft all 14 non playoff teams will have a shot at the #1 pick. |

True its odd that someone his size seems to be so hard to handle. I've only seen a few handle him really well. |

2 pp points tonight. 2 goals for Z last night. I like Conachar but I had far to many TB and NYI players on my team |
