The points speak for themselves.
- pker2theend

It's not all about the points, but I agree that he's a great offensive d-man, not worth every penny though since IMO he's not a true number one d-man. Not the kind of guy I would feel comfortable playing against other top lines and top PP units. He won't waive to leave Florida anyways.

I'm losing to Vantel.

We don't really need a number 1 d-man I just want a erhoff type player back. We were only 1 win aaway from a cup. BTW how do you lose to Vantel

We'll take him off your hands

Any interest in Ballard?

- IanEsplen

Honestly our D is the best it has looked in several years. Especially once we get Burns fully healthy I really like our back end. If we trade Clowe it would need to be for scoring depth up front (what we are seriously lacking right now).

Yeah I totally agree, a top 4 puck moving d-man for the right side would be a huge addition for this team but Campbell won't happen and there aren't many guys like that available. MG should have just paid Ehrhoff and moved/waived Ballard in hindsight.

Edit: It's only been one day against Vantel.

I just checked Clowe's advanced stats and wow he's done a complete 180 this season, really struggling after years of being a very good forward. He's alo not playing against the other team's top lines as well(mostly third and 4th lines) which really raises a red flag. Any chance that he's playing injured?

Error wanted to move to the east coast to make his trips to Germany much easier on him and his family. Even if MG matched Buffalo's contract offer, he'd still be a Sabre.

Really? I never actually looked into that whole negotiation or his reasons for leaving but that's interesting for sure. That was a bigger loss than most Canucks fans, including myself thought it would be.

Yes he's hurt right now, but he just looks like dog $hit every shift this year. He has honestly been one of our bets players year in and year out, just a solid 2nd line winger who can score, pass, and go toe to toe with anyone in the league in a fight.

Right now he's playing on the 3rd or 4th line and looks slow and frustrated every shift.

Said it at the time, and I still think Gillis should have moved Ehrhoff prior to the playoffs. It takes balls, but the only way you have a neverending championship window is to never lose an asset like that for nothing. If during negotiations, it became apparent that his salary expectations for an extension didn't fit the club's philosophy, move him at the TDL. He would have brought a really nice present & future return to an already deep group.

Totally agree that losing a valuable asset for nothing is bad management, but that SCF run was pretty amazing for the team and fans(outside of the result and riots of course).

Who's to say it wouldn't have happened without Ehrhoff? He was absolutely TERRIBLE during that run. -13 even though he had 12 points... That's awful on a team like this.

It makes perfect sense to do that why is it so obvious to us yet MG couldn't see it or Ehrhoff told him he had full intentions of staying in Van. I doubt it though Ehrhoff knew he would get more elsewhere with a weak free agent market for D.

He was the goat for sure and I don't think Buffalo has got what they wanted from him yet.

Not sure how many NFL (let alone Seahawks) fans there are on here... But if you want to see how a team is supposed to be managed, look at what John Schneider has done in Seattle. (frank)ing BRILLIANT. He's changed the game. (frank) moneyball/puck and Billy Beane. Schneider's approach makes that look amateur.

I was glad we got rid of him. He is not built for a tough playoff run. I am glad Buf got him they deserve each other.

Anyone interested in an injured Tarasenko? I could use a D man or a Goalie offers?
