Just think how SJ feels—they pay Boyle 6.66 and he missed too, and didn't even get to stick his poop in the goalies face.

What a game

The sad thing is SJ are 3-4-3 in the last 10 games . If Clowe would have scored it would have been the perfect slumpbuster for SJ.

Three wins in the last 10 games.

0 for 15 PP

So I guess Gillis waiting for teams to be desperate and throw a bounty his way is failing. Nonis is in cruise control and Gillis is sweating buckets.

Ballard was injued. I guess AV gets his wish.

Why did AV break up the Hansen Raymond Higgins line after they tied up the game?

I think your wrong. Please stop the division crap, they just harlem globtrottered LA and SJ tonight and lost in a shootout. There 12-2-3 in the last 3 years against SJ. Im sorry for getting upset but comments like that are so ignorant, there 2-5 in shootouts. There the worst team in the league in shootouts. So theyve had the least amount of help from shootouts. There's no shootout in the playoffs, this is the Canucks best statistical start to a season in 8 years. Im not saying there winning the Cup, but there a playoff team. Do you even even watch hockey?
- gunner2233

Yes shootouts don't matter in the playoffs and soon we will be saying playoffs don't happen in the playoffs for Vancouver this year.

BTW SJ and LA are in 6 and 7 th . Not exactly powerhouses.

She shows more emotion and discontent then AV.
Shameful.

- Whiskey-Tango

So AV would be more effective if he was as emotional as an 8 year old girl? I thought people were sick of Crawford.

Yes, but LA won the cup as an 8 seed last year. Maybe the Canucks need to lose more

Seriously, though. There's no way this team doesn't win the NW.

Just a heated overreaction I'm guessing. There's no way this team misses the playoffs IMO, unless they get destroyed by injuries.

Yeah, but the Canucks as 8th seed won't get to face a poorly coached Canucks team in the 1st round...

You can blame the coach if you like, but the Garrison pass to Hamhuis and the Hamhuis bauble to Thornton showed the whole execution issue tonight. Canucks had lots of possession and zone time and just couldn't bury the puck. Positioning wasn't the issue, actually making the plays work was.

Niemi played very well tonight. His early save of Kassian was huge.

I just hate when the players don't finish or shoot high enough, the chances of beating a goalie down low in the shootouts is pretty damn low unless you have some sick hands to deke him out.

We will see. I think if any team in the NW wins 5 in a row they end up 3 rd. Change that to 3 in a row.

0 for 15 on the PP

Schroeder on the 4 th line .

Lapierre on the 2ND ? Hell I don't even know if we have a second line.

3-5-2 I do blame the Canucks coaches .

I also Blame the coaches and Mgmt for sitting 10 mil in salaries on the bench for two games .

Once the Canucks get the PP going they'll be ok, they always have a good PP traditionally. And its not like there not throwing the puck around like crazy. There playing well and scoring 5 on 5. If there PP gets going watch out, they've been dominating the last few games 5 on 5, thats the sign of a team has potential. Who cares about the Calgary game we all know Vancouver was the better team and would've won that game 9 of 10 times if not for luck conspiring against them. They've traditionally had superior special teams, now there 5 on 5 play is above average. They are controlling the play, lets no overreact. As AV says look at the process. The Sedins are just starting to hit there post lockout stride. If this team gets hot down the stretch and is an underdog, is that such a bad thing? Lets be honest, Chicago is the favorite this year. The Canucks and there fans should embrace the underdog role. It didnt hurt the Kings..

Didn't say they wouldn't. If they were in a different division, I wouldn't be very confident. As for the other guy, last time I checked shoot out points count towards making the playoffs, so not sure why you're telling me there aren't shootouts in the playoffs.

What would be effective is if AV attempted to motivate his team, be it through a temper-tantrum or a pat on the back. The guy acts like a gum chewing mannequin, and yet we question why the team lacks emotion and ferocity. He acts as though there's no pressure, as does the team.
