he gave the team ample time to get him signed. They dropped the ball on 2 fronts.
XxNYIxX - XxNYIxX
They dropped the ball for asking for a 1st rounder. He should have been gone for a 2nd rounder. He is the one who said publically that he was breaking off negotiations and then turned down a deal comparable to a teamate who was a 30 goal scorer. Snow obviously thought they'd still get a deal done. It wasn't until Colorado gave Jones a 4 year $16 million contract that PA became too expensive. |

So hard we paid a guy $1 million dollars and he's almost on pace for the same. - keaner17
Whatever man, think what you want. Brad Boyes (frank)ing blows. He could score a hundred goals it would'nt make up for the 200 going the other way. The PA debate is beyond ridiculous, comparing him to Vis or otherwise. For a team as shatty as this I say sign him and pay Boyes a million and have both of them and don't pay this waiver wire junk and otherwise. You and your buddy Snow think otherwise. I'm actually done discussing this with you because just like your PA jokes it's draining. Move on. |

You guys have a way of exagarrating everything. Nobody "romanticized" PA's stay with us, get a grip. Most people myself included said it'd be hard to replace his 67 poionts. That's it. Nothing romantic about that. - Cptmjl
Well you cant really get a good read on guys this year if they could make up for th 67 points. Wait till next year I am sure someone will take his spot. PA is good but he is not one of the tops in teh game |

Dude, half your posts are pure speculation and you sell at as the truth. Say "you think" before half this shat and it'd be legitimate. |

1 year, 1 million. PA was offered 3 for $9. Moulson got 3 for $9.4 |

didn't say that...but his stats don't appear all that replaceable when a stiff like Boyes can equal them. |

And that is where Snow fails, as a GM he has to turn his assets into more assets, he did not. He was a fool not signing PAP, he was a fool for not trading Nabby & he is a bigger fool for not trading PAP.

Well...people still are longing for him here like he would be The Solution. Let's face it...PA wasn't the big gritty winger we need, nor was he the pure sniper we could use. I get that he puts up points, and would have been useful for this season to a degree (edit -- and, like many players that leave, may not have been adequately replaced). But really, he's such a difference maker in Colorado that they...have the same amount of points as the Isles and are sitting in 13th place...
Snow could have paid up and kept PA. Snow should have traded him if he wasn't going to pay up. On that, I think every Isles fan agrees. But the PA/Chuck Norris thing didn't take off here because people weren't making a bit too big of a deal about what his contributions were/could have been... |

I think I could get 50 or 60 points playing with JT. Yes, he is that good. Go to the frankin net, like MM... keep your stick on the ice, and wait for JT to do his magic.. He is that good. He makes players around him better, because he draws the others to him. Like most great playes do. |

I am kind of happy they didnt sign him. It is obvious that he got a big head thinking he was great and did not resign here. He did not want to play here why would you want him?? |

Who is doing that? Certainly not me. Jesus (frank)ing Christ the conversation was bout comparing Visnovsky's unprofessionalism to PA's for not resiging not PA or how great he was. |

No one said he wasnt replaceable, EVERYONE is, even JT
But you already had the guy, already had a really good line that gelled, there was so much give & go, so much flow out of those 3 last year it was silly, i see NONE of that this year with this three.
There was a guy who was getting it done & the three of them would have gotten better together, but nope.. let that asset walk.

I didn't think he should be signed. I challenge you now to find anywhere I ever wrote that. Or are you SPECULATING? I think he should have been signed, on a deal similar to Grabs or Moulson. He got offered more and took off. End of story. I don't think a hometown discount was too much to ask considering he'd still be in the A if it wasn't for this team. |
