You're entitled to think what you want but you'll find very few that agree with you except for the two morons in love with Snow on here. - Cptmjl

Remember, I'm not defending Snow in this at all. The point of topic here has nothing to do with Snow but rather the fact that I think if you're going to take exception to players who don't want to play here, PA needs to be included in that group. Maybe not to the degree of Vis or Nabby, but I don't think anyone should romanticize his stay here without recognizing that he showed no gratitude to a team that SAVED him from AHL oblivion. |

No, Halifax... No one goes to the CB Q games. This year, they blow.
3 hours to Sydney, 1.5 hours to Halifax, and they are the top team in the country, easy chocie to make. |

Let's look at this from Vis standpoint. He wanted to finish his career in the KHL and stay with his family. He expected a buyout from Anaheim, as everyone did. Suddenly he's dealt to the Isles. Naturally he protests the trade due to his feeling he had a NTC. He wanted to force a buyout so he could go home. His son has an illness so he stays home for a bit but then reports to the team and plays admirably.
I think questioning the legitimacy of this 'tragedy' lacks a bit of class. I'd prefer to reserve judgement based on the story after the fact. Especially when it's already said he'll be back by the weekend. But if you're going to take the attitude of "F that guy since he didn't want to play here", I have a hard time seeing how you can't also take offense to a career AHLer being given a chance with this team but then jumping ship the first chance he got. - keaner17
The guy did'nt want to report before his kid got sick. I say F the guy period, whether he left for more personal reason or otherwise. Visnovsky said he was expecting to get brought out AFTER the trade to the Islanders BECAUSE he did'nt want to report. Are you sitting there with a straight face trying to tell me if the NY Rangers or Red Wings traded for him we would've heard a peep out of him. As far as questioning the legitimacy of his "tragedy" once again that has something to do with his unprofessionalis in the first place. Using the word "admiriably" and Visnovsky in the same sentence is laughable. Saying I lack class bcs I don't believe the guy is laughable as well but again by all means, think what you want. I can give a shat about Visnovsky, why should I? He has no bearing on my life and was one of many things that were embarrassing to this team that has happened over the last few years. He was the cause. Are you the guy that caught his girlfriend banging someone else and still did'nt believe it when she told you she did'nt do it? Seriously, give it a rest. You're entitled to your opinion and I'm entitled to mine. Leave it at that. |

PA bolted without offering a chance to match. Regardless, he decided he didn't want to play here. - keaner17
he gave the team ample time to get him signed. They dropped the ball on 2 fronts.

ultimately I just find it funny that one gets damned for not wanting to play here while the other, who chose to turn his back on the only team that gave him a shot, is just fine. - keaner17
one was under contract & one was a free agent that the team low balled.

You guys have a way of exagarrating everything. Nobody "romanticized" PA's stay with us, get a grip. Most people myself included said it'd be hard to replace his 67 poionts. That's it. Nothing romantic about that. |

Low balled? LOL....the deal was believed to be similar to Moulson's deal. That's hardly lowballing a career AHLer. |
