ultimately I just find it funny that one gets damned for not wanting to play here while the other, who chose to turn his back on the only team that gave him a shot, is just fine.

One of your many faults.

I have a bunch too. But more Montreal Expos stuff. I was at just about every game.

Many of the great players played there, some not long, but most did. I spoke to Larry Robinson about his time in Halifax last year. He was telling me that most D-men should spend time in the AHL, it is a great place to learn the pro game, without all of the media attention putting major pressure on the kids.

PA bolted without offering a chance to match. Regardless, he decided he didn't want to play here.

Again, bad comparison. Visnovsky had a contract and got traded. He behaved like a little b!tch. Completely different situations.

I was a Habs fan until they pulled the V's out of Halifax, they lost me forever, I was pissed off.

The guy got offered a contract that Snow did'nt want anything to do with. The other guy had a contract in place and refused to report and came up with every excuse not to report, embarrassed himself and the club. Snow was a moron for not trading PA when he should've realized he would'nt get him for what he wanted.

I'm not defending Vis, but I think the same attitude should be taken towards PA. The guy was done in this league and the Isles gave him life. His response was to bolt out the door when Colorado offered more than his worth. On one hand, you can't blame the guy for going after the cash, but he showed no loyalty to the team that saved his career...so F-him too!

Agreed he should have been traded, but remember, PA said he was breaking off negotiations until the season was over. Snow likely thought there was still a good chance (his mistake). But regardless of what Snow did or didn't do, PA said he signed the contract in Colorado the moment Joe Sakic called him...in other words...he had no plan in staying after that. So as I said...F-Him.

What would you do? Take less money to play for a second rate orginization that did'nt think you were worth ponying up for? Vis is a (frank)ing a$$hole, unprofessional, and adolescent to the point that i don't believe any of his "tragedy" BS. If it turns out his mom passed then fine, he created the distrust with his unprofessionalism. (frank)ing prima donna. PA took the money in what will probably be his only contract year anyone would have done what he did and if they did'nt they'd be idiots. Go ahead, say you would have. Either you're lying or stupid. Take your pick

You're entitled to think what you want but you'll find very few that agree with you except for the two morons in love with Snow on here.

The good teams built a winning farm system, then it migrates to the show.. some still do it that way. Habs are getting back to it now.

Let's look at this from Vis standpoint. He wanted to finish his career in the KHL and stay with his family. He expected a buyout from Anaheim, as everyone did. Suddenly he's dealt to the Isles. Naturally he protests the trade due to his feeling he had a NTC. He wanted to force a buyout so he could go home. His son has an illness so he stays home for a bit but then reports to the team and plays admirably.
I think questioning the legitimacy of this 'tragedy' lacks a bit of class. I'd prefer to reserve judgement based on the story after the fact. Especially when it's already said he'll be back by the weekend. But if you're going to take the attitude of "F that guy since he didn't want to play here", I have a hard time seeing how you can't also take offense to a career AHLer being given a chance with this team but then jumping ship the first chance he got.
