THREE GOALS????????????????????????

I remember when it was 10 goals or something like that.

Back then, Isles would score three goals in their sleep on a bad day.

In my post, I was referring to the Ranger Fans littering the ice with Wendys Chile one game many yrs ago.

That was the chili give away, I actually believe we wound up losing that game even though we scored three?

I am sitting in one of those arena suites, I think it's 17G or something like that. You will see me. I will be the geek with the red Erik Cole jersey and the Habs hat, and my son will be the mini-geek with the Subban jersey and the Habs hat. I ordered Galchenyuk jerseys, but they haven't arrived yet.

There will be a LOT of Habs fans.. all in my area. I am behind the Net the Isles defend twice so it usually is 60/40 other team's fans. Row B seat 1 if you make it down.

As "lets Go Isles" said...the Clowe to the Isles would be a good deal for us..power forward but plays on left side. He is having a lousy year and he is a rent a player so he might not cost much...
- kear20

I would take Clowe if the price is right. When I think buyers I think a couple of moves. Strange to hear buyers and Isles. Unless they will be in Brooklyn in Oct and want to show something this year?

I will get killed for this but Isles may pick someone up at Deadline. Some teams will probably be dumping big sallaries. If the right player comes available I can see Snow pulling Trigger.... (Please God just this one time.. Yandle!!! )

The only thing the Isles may buy is some transportation for the Habs fans to and from their hotel rooms.

I cant see them as buyers. I mean yes they are only three points out of a spot but what about those guys who are on one year contracts? You trade them?? I dont know what the value is and if Snow trades prospects then he better get some players who are going to play and report here

Don't get me wrong I also see them throwing anyone out that is not signed next year. Like I have said earlier they will offer all pending UFA's a contract that SNOW thinks is fair. If they do not hit the bid... He will trade them.. all of them... no PA's this year.

Remember those days?

The days of hooking, holding, slashing and non instigator fighting.

When good players put up 80 points in a 70+ game season. And great players saw totals of 120 + .

And then the NHL decided to make rules to increase scoring and showcase the Stars!!!

The trapezoid. Obstruction. Puck Over the glass penalties. Instigation. Hand passes on faceoffs. Protecting the Goalie off limits regardless of the situation. Two line passes. Moving the goal line. Moving the goal line again. Moving the Blue line. Shoot outs. No hitting above the shoulder. No hitting below the waist. No hip checks. No open Ice hits

Now a guy scores 30 goals & 60 points and he's a SUPER DUPER STAR!

30 and 60???? Sounds like Butch Goring to me.

This maybe a little known fact about Butchie.

Goring was most recognizable on the ice for a helmet that he had worn since he was 12 years old and continued to wear throughout his entire professional career. He also developed a reputation for perhaps the poorest fashion sense in the league. In the 1970s, on a road trip with the Kings, a burglar broke into his hotel room and stole everything that belonged to his roommate but left all of Goring's clothes hanging in the closet untouched.[1]

That is friggin fantastic... I worked at a firm onetime and one of the old guys was outside the bulding drinking his coffee. some slick Gordon Gecko/Bud Fox looking guy was chatting up a girl and tossed a dollar in change in his cup of Joe. I almost soiled myself laughing... Time for some new Gear man.

I think he's the player most likely to be dealt off the team. Problem is I think we'll be just close enough to the bubble that Snow will not do either buy or sell.
