That's pretty much what he did on that play...

Actually no if he had done that he probably would've stopped it

And Schenn making snow angels

was feeling halfway good about that period for over 19 minutes.

I can sure see this being a 6 - 5 game. both team must have tried a dozen stretch passes ... and neutral zone turnovers galore for the Flyers.

Callahan wouldn't have scored had this been the case

He went for the poke check. Even if he made a stop, if there's a rebound, the Rangers had Callahan and Gaborik lurking without any coverage.

This team makes more bad decisions on line changes than any I can recall seeing.

The whole thing was caused by Gus' bad change. Puck never got deep and he tried to change, leaving Schenn no chance to get in position to do anything but make a desperation play.

No way any goalie can stop that consistently. He has to hold the post, and when he does, the far side is open since nobody was anywhere near picking up Callahan.

- BringBack25

Disagree. That goal was weak. He didn't even move and Callahan had no angle to shot. He had no choice but to make that move.

Bah, I still think they'll be buying out Briere if not traded before then. It makes me sad but I sure wish he'd get it in gear.

The failed dump-in, and the bad change were the real culprits there. Gus just has to be smarter and not try to change in that situation. Really nothing Schenn could do - would have taken an amazing play to come all the way from the bench and break up that rush.

How many times has he tried that and failed miserably? At some point you'd think he would figure out something different to not be made to look so bad.

Yeah, had Schenn made a play, it would have been an exceptional one. Just stupid line changes and being overagressiveness.

Whatever. That's just absurd to call that a weak goal.

Whole play wouldn't have happened if B. Schenn doesn't turn over the puck in the neutral zone. He should if got it deep instead and the line change happens without error.

Didn't Callahan dislocate his shoulder a week after Meszaros did?

I agree for the most part. But Bryzgalov went for a poke check. Pretty much every time he does, he get's beat. Someone needs to tell him to forget the poke check and just try and make the save. Flyers have been burned many times thins year due to not getting the puck deep while changing behind the play. Repeatedly.

Schenn took away the angle. The only play Callahan had was to make that move. He had no where to shoot that puck. Bryz was caught in quicksand. Not absurd at all. I just believe he should make that save.

Exactly. But the D also has to be paying attention and notice that the puck didn't get deep and not make the change. Lots of blame to go around on that one.

He was indecisive on the poke check. Once that happened, he was toast.
