The offense has not come yet, but defensively, by just about every advanced metric there is, Couturier is playing at elite levels.

Most of the them are pending UFAs or past their prime. Or you have to get them before they are established in the NHL which is too much of a risk for trading someone like Couturier.

i didn't read the last 10 pages, so it didn't feel right.

Hard to debate him when the track record isn't fully there.

I find it more telling that when other GM's call the Flyers, that Couturier is the name they ask about. When rumors kick up, it's Couturier, not Schenn, Read, Simmonds or Voracek.
