This is exactly one of the issues that needed to be addressed. Brown has more fighting majors this year than the entire Oilers team! He has 6, EDM has 4. Anyone who every played shinny or road hockey with an older brother knows the feeling...the kids will be better.

Far from a fix all solution, but a good move. Effort is contageous also. I have been the biggest and strongest on many a team but also one of the least skilled. When you're the biggest it's no problem calling out one of the hotshot kids on the team or someone who is a passenger...and guess what...they skate harder next period.

I like this move and apparently he isn't a total ankle-bender and can play a little bit. We'll see.

RNH hasnt impressed this year.. With Rielly coming up i could stand losing Gardiner. McKegg is a nobody. and a 15-25 first rounder would be hard to swallow but its the Nuge we're talking about.. I'd be fine with it. but we have our own RNH in The Dream

Cloutier how are you ready to throw in the towel so soon? I swear it was only a week or two ago that you were saying that the Oilers were winning the Cup? Now you want them to go for another 1st rounder? This team and these kids can't afford to continually lose...they need to make some bold moves now...even if it's trading one of the kids or this year's 1st...I think that not making the playoffs again and being bottom 5 isn't gonna be good.

I was going to stick the Nug on our second line. Dont know if you noticed, but our boy Kadri is 14th in NHL scoring.

I understand the small-soft players we have. But we need hard hitting- pests - bone rattling big time in your face- touch our stars and we'll murder your stars type of players. The oil just look too soft to play against. Stop looking for a scoring defenseman or a blockbuster trade because it's not happening. Bring in guys like Torres-clutter buck-tootoo- m.brown (oh yeah we did). If we're not scoring then I want to see some fists a flying. BTW Gagne's tied for the team lead in fighting majors. It's time teams feared playing the oilers young guns because they were going to get hurt if they did anything to them cement head mcsorley etc.
